I’m a daily viewer but rare commenter- the city is shaping up INCREDIBLY well. Continue building what YOU like, and the views and comments and subscribers will follow. The mountain is going to be incredible. I keep thinking about the giant city in the Lego House that has the mountain in the center- it makes such a great backdrop to that build. Yours may be even larger than that- can’t wait to see it, and look forward to following along in the process.

Its a marathon, not a sprint. I'm in for the long haul and watching the entire process is what I like. I've already borrowed your idea of using the art technic plates for a layer inbetween BURPs on my mountain. So please keep going at your own pace. I have the patience to wait for the payoff.

I completely lost the thread at this point. Would be cool to get a rough map of the idea this is moving towards and show that at the start of each city video. It's difficult to maintain excitement in this format.

This is what Lego is all about!! Build, take apart, build again. Awesome progress from Bricksie, comparing this to even his work on the old campground can see improvements from an already amazing builder. People need to trust the process and love that's he's always getting better. Think some people who just build sets just build once and they have a perfect finished model, building custom is all about iteration.

I think you should take this approach more often. The negative comments you get around your unfinished projects, despite you repeatedly saying its unfinished, seem to really wear on you. Maybe for each of these mammoth projects you are working on sprinkle in some snapshots of what it might look like fully completed. You might have to rework these parts in the future, but it would give a better idea of your ultimate vision and hopefully keep comments like that to a minimum
@Angrist172 ай бұрын
Adding little bits of detail like this will also help with the planning and visualization. It can be really hard to figure out how exactly you want something to look, or how to build it to match your vision even when you do. Getting little pieces that you can look at for a couple of weeks and play around with will help mitigate large re-builds later.
@celldweller692 ай бұрын
Or you know….just ignore the comment because it’s his city and he can do what he likes.

@@celldweller69 obviously I agree with that, but as much as the negative comments get brought up in different videos, that seems easier said than done. This seems like a super good way to help mitigate some of that so I think it’s worth encouraging

It's nice to see a glimpse of what the rest of the mountain may look like later. it's all a work in progress, it'll always be a work in progress because that's what lego is like.
@xK9000x2 ай бұрын
First of all, I love your content and like seeing the progression from basement, to studio renovation and now the growth of the city to fill the new space. And while some criticism and sharing of ideas is good for the overall end result, dont let the negativity get to you. At the end of the day, you're the artist/sculptor of your own work, and most opinions are subjective. Also, after watching you for so long, it has given me the motivation to sort my giant bin of set from when i was a kid in the 90s and sell to the local brick and minifigs store. who knew first gen bionicle and old school castle/pirate sets were worth so much?!?

remember the reason you make the city modular is so that changes on the fly are possible and ez. already paying off with the mountain modules. that removal and remodel process was clean and enjoyable to watch. it's lego. nothing is set in stone.

It seems some people have issues with the idea of a”work in progress”. The revised mountain plate looks great. I’m now thinking cave with hibernating bears near the winter village, secret mine entrance, pot hole with speluking person emerging. I hope you are enjoying your building and not racing through it for viewers.
@DuartJansen2 ай бұрын
"But Bricksie, you need to add more detail to the mountain and it's too square!" I think he already explained at least 3 times that he's going to do the detailing later on after he's figured out his building placement. Also, of course the mountain is square on the rail side, the railway is usually carved out of the rocks and made as straight as possible. He still needs to add the rest of the mountain slope on the other side if the railroad near the camping ground.

Hello there, I had no idea that you wore prescription glasses (If they are). Anyway, I think you've explained way more than you need to that "This is NOT the finished product, but just a base structure" over and over, and over, and over, and over, to the point where if no one "gets it", either they're "dense" or they're new to the channel. You DO WHAT YOU want, its your city & your "LEGO Studio". People need to realize also that the mountain is not "set in stone" (PUN Intended....lol). You can only please some of the people some of the time cause everyone's a critic. Keep up the EPIC work!

Some people don't have much imagination if they can't visualise what you are trying to do. I understand the reasons why you have basic structure as it will save you time later on if you want to change things. Also it's your Lego City so if people don't like they way you are doing things, they should just go and build their own city the way they want to.

I love your videos! You really have a talent building with lego! I don't like that you run out of pieces but jumping around and doing different stuff like you do makes it nice for the viewing experience. At least I think so! Even though focus in one area could be more efficient, I think the goal is endless content and to have fun/do what you want to do! A certain percentage of commenters don't have the builder mindset, some can't visualize,and some wont be happy with any outcome. Its going to be hard to get things to not have straight lines and not have a square look when it should be modular and changeable. Possibly in the future mountains can be somewhat rearranged, slid over one baseplate or whatever a future bricksie might wanna do! Also I really like seeing parts used from the store pab because it makes me feel like I can follow and be inspired by how you use those pieces!
@calebrichards13622 ай бұрын
First time commenting.Obviously people complaining haven't seen a mountain or railroad next to one.mountains are very vegetation filled until the higher altitudes not as many rocks and boulders as you might think and the railroad company would have dug out to make the rails as level as possible which with how the rails are going would naturally make a long straight cliff. Keep making the mountain how you like Bricksie keep up the good work 👍

You should build something just out of panels, rock pieces and any other sorts of premoulded pieces to pay an homage to the origins of Lego and to share that experience with all the haters of square Lego. You did a good job with the mountain. I think you don’t need to worry about having taller trees on a mountain if you put the at lower altitudes and then decrease the tree height as you go up, it’ll only look natural.

Great job. A suggestion to improve the zoo & mountain. Some animal pens could be built to but up against the mountain so they could climb & perch on the faces of some of the rocks vs a glass enclosure. Of coarse a fence/net would be needed to keep them from escaping. I think you also could use the stream in the zoo to make a swamp habitat for the gators. Another suggestion. In front of the zoo extend the pavement past the loop to the end of the zoo then have it turn to the boat ramp. Remove the road adjacent to the beach area and use it to build more beach or fishing buildings. I would almost suggest realligning the road and train by the board walk. You could eliminate that road and put the train track behind the 1st row of buildings. Pull the buildings closer to boardwalk. Who wouldn't love oceanfront views without overlooking a road or track? Just suggestions, it's fun watching the progress.
