Not a lot of people know, but most 5th generation and above jets come with their very own ammo gremlin. The gremlin carries the extra missiles and rearms the plane during battle in exchange for headpats and leftover MiG 29 engines

When I watched Rimmy's video and heard the VA for Captain Woodward I had to stop the video, replay it a couple times, and go DM my friend and go "DUDE SOUNDS LIKE YOU" just for him to laugh and say it was. Blew my fucking mind.

Few tips for Air to Air Combat from your friend: Random Asshole with a Box! 1: Your Guns are actually HILLARIOUSLY powerful (they MELT enemy ships once you clip all hardpoints) but your speeds will throw off the aim, the key is to look for the little circle that appears when close enough, if the plane is in that circle ('The Pipper' as it were) let em rip and maintain fire until kill confirmed. 2: You can turn more often than you think as you (pilot you rather) is not affected by G-Forces so do not be afraid to pull turns that would liquify the average man as often as you'd like. 3: General Rule of thumb with missiles is Planes take 2-3 Missiles (Some models take 3 hits, learn the designation as you'll likely never get too close), HISM reduces that by 1 so one at a time, see if it HITS so you have an extra missile. In fact any NON Standard Missile cuts the number down sharply to 1 missle to kill generally but lose tracking ability compared to the standard missile. 4: Bombs are near worthless in this game (pretty much every other option is far superior to bombs that take forever to hit, have a pathetic splash and will almost always miss). 5: Tilt your wings then turn and ACCELERATE, it speeds up the turn process. Also do not VR this game when Orange gets involved, for the sake of your RETINAS.

Do not worry, your advice was not in vain. I just started and still didn’t understand how to target with my guns. I knew that my main reticle in the middle of the screen was too good to be true, but I assumed the one that follows behind it would be where I was actually hitting, kind of like mechwarrior. No wonder I couldn’t hit anything, because it was a completely separate CONTEXTUAL 3rd reticle that only shows up sometimes. God bless you mercenary

If you are curious, there is a lore section that you can look at in the menu before each mission, and completing missions and taking out certain targets will unlock more entries. Also, I would recommend that you take a 2-seater aircraft whenever you can, because most missions will have unique dialogue depending on if your WSO(Best Waifu) is with you or not.

A little bit of advice: get good with the AOA Limiter, it's basically a "turn of physics" button. The MG-29 is the first plane that has it. Also the F/D-14 is like, REALLY good; so is every kind of gun in the game.

AC432? They recovered fast if they're at or above our level a mere 4 centuries after Yellowstone detonated. 6:54 F-4 Phantom. Lovely jet, most in/famous for wild weasel roles. Good bird that was being retired when I was starting to geek out about planes. Actually a very good ECM platform with flare pods built in. Those that fly in the US are mainly target drones/defense system test beds. One engagement took 4 F-22 Raptors to get a kill on one that lacked weapons of its own. Oh, and some F-4 engines found their way into either a school bus or on a semi truck cab for airshow ground components. He landed it! Atta boy!

Tbf Yellowstone erupting doesn't mean it would be a super eruption. Most likely would be a slightly larger St Helen's, if it ever erupted again, which is highly unlikely given that it may actually be going extinct.
