People's different reactions to Racist Lorry Driver is so interesting. Like Bricky wants to be fair, because he as his character just woke up and doesn't even know what's going on. But I remember another person's blind playthrough where someone saw how Racist Lorry Driver was talking and *immediately* locked on to what he was doing, particularly the part where he was bullshitting and backing off all "it was just a joke"-style.

It's honestly hilarious to see someone with such a surface level understanding of things such as racism and unions play a game that dives into those topics and just be completely clueless and confused at everything. Funniest playthrough of Disco Elysium I've seen by far. No offense to Bricky of course. We all had a point in our lives when we didn't think much deeper beyond "workers good, corporations evil" and eventually we filled in those gaps as we grew older. I'm sure Bricky is just a bit of a late bloomer on these topics, and that's okay, we all learn about the world at our own pace. I expect in a few years time he'll be looking back at these videos and laughing along with us.
@BreakerBunny Жыл бұрын
Would highly recommend to take your time to read through each of the skill descriptions, it helps give you some preface for what kind of information you'll be receiving and adds a lot to the narrative context. Also a good note to remember is that success and failure on anything does not intrinsically mean good or bad, but simply meeting or not meeting a threshold for a certain result, desirable or not. In this light "to much of a good thing" is something relevant to think about here and will become clearer as you go through what each skill does.

I believe some content or dialogue options are not getting unlocked because you often don't follow thru a line of questioning to the end, instead backing out of the conversation. A famous example of phrenology is Leo's role in Django Unchained as Candy. When he's going on the skull rant, that's textbook phrenology.
