I agree with you 100%. Argentinian tango is very unique, the most expressive from all the "ball dances" and going beyond the ball dance. That is why I decided to learn it with my girlfriend, it expresses feelings. No other dance can do it.

Yes. I commend them for trying this. Usually argentine tango is more risky than say a waltz, so people avoid it. It takes a bit more courage to attempt this on your wedding day :)

You picked a good dance for a wedding dance. The dance itself was good but as others have said, need the passion, connection, whilst having fluid movements. Tango is not about how it looks ( looked technically ok to me), rather it's about how it feels and the portrayal of those feelings to the viewer ( and hence some of the comments below about no emotional connection portrayed). However, I understand you both have been only doing this for a limited time and you both did very well in the time you had to learn it. The things I talk about above ( eg connection, intensity, playful sensuality, graceful movements etc. take a long time and countless hours of practice to develop. My suggestion is to stick to it and continue this wonderful dance.

Agree. Good job for a wedding dance. I am sure the dance was highly appreciated by your guests. It does take time, a mind switch and effort for the tango they write about. Still working on this. Tango is a story of love and passion, beginning with soft movements and intimacy (love and affection) and ending with (passion and rejection). If you danced tango and every man in the room wants your woman, and all the women in her room began to hate her, that means you danced perfectly!

Ilya Smirnov, должна сказать у вас довольно странные рекомендации по исполнению танго. Вот эти: ... локти держать,.. расстояние менять,...чередовать плавные и резкие движения.... И дальше какой-то набор стереотипных представлений про абстрактную страсть с розой в зубах, в черно-красной цветовой гамме. Все это не имеет к аргентинскому танго никакого отношения. Пара на ролике танцевать танго не умеет, но выучила поставленную хореографию. Элементы в из танце действительно из аргентинского танго, но технически выполнять их они ещё не готовы, да и по возрасту до танго пока не доросли.

Начинающие, что с них взять. Девочка в чужих туфлях. Мало того что не по ноге, так и для танго не годятся. Только что к платью цветом подходят. Фигуры заучили, выполнять их не умеют от слова совсем. Просто когда ставят танец в стиле танго, то это именно что стилизация, в которой несколько стереотипных движений и позировок, ассоциирующихся с танго, разбавлены шагами, свойственными танцам из бальной латины (хореографы-постановщики таких танцев, как правило, преподаватели-бальники). А тут я наблюдаю набор конкретных шагов и фигур из АТ, другой вопрос, что исполнены они дилетански и без ведения.
