Aw Noorie! I felt the same way when I got engaged, I was so scared about what's next and all the planning and expectations. Enjoy the fiancé stage and take the time to enjoy the planning because you both deserve it. My husband and I gave ourselves about a year and a half and took it slow, tried to book things early where we could and now that we had our wedding and all the stress of it is over, we can look back at our wedding videos and photos with so much admiration and relief for the day.

I absolutely feel you in terms of the pressure of doing something and then avoiding it because it gives you so much stress and anxiety. It can be very overwhelming, but trust and believe that you will be able to manage all of it ❤️ try to get all the inspiration and advice that you need from pinterest, Instagram, close friends and family and those who have already been married in your circles. definitely try looking into the important things like venues, decoration, wedding cake, catering and entertainment/music as soon as you can. I know the moment that you will see a venue both of you love, everything will fall into place, so don’t be too worried. lots of love and good energy ✨🙏🏻

I saw the collection debut here in NYC. It is perfectly ok to drag your feet a little when it comes to starting your wedding planning! I am a Planner in the US and many of our couples don’t start planning right away. It is the most important day of your life to date and you have so many expectations of how you dream of it being, once you start the planning it becomes real and it can be a little overwhelming. Hire your Planner as your first step, if you haven’t already and then go from there! Get that venue first! Whenever are wherever it is, it’s going to be magical and unforgettable! August bride here! I was the exact same way, I put off a lot of planning bc its such a big day and want it to be perfect, but also it's a lotttt of work and didn't really know where to start. Weigh the pros and cons of locations, then make finding your venue the priority. Everything kinda comes together after that! I was extremely indecisive along the way, but when in doubt, go by how something makes you feel, especially when it comes to smaller details, your look/dress. It's more of that special "feeling" than thought, if that make sense. Good luck and can't wait to follow along!! 😊

I just got engaged in December and when I think about wedding planning, I get filled with anxiety. I honestly feel like I don’t even want a traditional wedding, but I think the societal pressure of having one is what’s pushing me to have one. Like the amount of money, energy, and time that goes into a wedding could be placed in much better (in my opinion) areas

The first step to wedding planning is choosing the wedding planner and a budget. That’s what I did 16 years ago and it was so much fun. I just created a Pinterest board and sent it to her. I had a Caribbean beach wedding. So choose your location, get a planner, budget and it will flow so easily.

I understand what you are saying as I am a perfectionist myself. But you have to accept that reality cannot compete with your imagination, and sometimes, if you go with the flow, it will surprise you in ways that you had not imagined. My best man and maid of honour gave me the best advice that I share with other couples...you will do everything that you can to plan and organize your wedding. When you get to the days of your wedding, just let go of the control, and leave it to the few trusted people around you to take care of the rest. Enjoy yourself, be the star of the show, smile, and relax. If minor things don't go according to plan, that's ok. No one but you will know, and it really isn't worth ruining your special day(s).

Don’t get LASIK on ur eyes. I did and it dries them out so bad it’s unbearable. It’s not worth it. I’ve been living with chronic chronic chronic dry eye problems for the last 20 years and it only gets worse as you get older.
