Bridal Veil Falls and Cornelius Falls in Heber Springs, Arkansas are easy hikes that shouldn't be missed!
History of Bridal Veil Falls
The first paragraph on the sign explains some of the history of this waterfall.
“The natural feature that is now called Bridal Veil Falls was at one time called Cornelius Falls, named for the first owner of the property, John H. Cornelius. There are actually two falls in close proximity, leading some to call one of the falls “Cornelius Falls” and the other “Bridal Veil Falls.”
There are steps that lead you down from the parking lot to the Bridal Veil Falls overlook platform. The beginning of the trail is an easy dirt path that turns into wooden steps.
There are other paths that are a little more difficult that will take you down to the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls and the top of Cornelius Falls!
Bridal Veil Falls Overlook
The easy trail leads you to the overlook. It’s a great place to view the falls from the top and take photos. Peering over the edge, you will see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Arkansas.
It’s great for a quick stop for anyone who is on their way to a weekend of fun at the Dam Site on Greers Ferry Lake or JFK Campground on the Little Red River.
Many hikers enjoy taking the small trails on the right and left sides of the overlook platform to play in the creek upstream or in the pool at the base of the falls.
Bridal Veil Falls location
Bridal Veil Falls is located off Highway 25 on Bridal Veil Falls Road, next to Heber Springs Collision Center. Bear right at the fork in the road and turn right in the parking area.

Tips for finding the Falls
NOTE: The turn-off onto Bridal Veil Falls Road from Hwy 25 can easily be missed so keep your eyes open. Also, if you’re like us, you’ll miss the right hand turn into the parking lot. So, make sure your passenger is watching for the turn so you don’t have to turn around in someone’s driveway like we did!

I saw Bridal Veil back in June, but couldn't find Cornelius. Maybe it just didn't have any water, not sure. Will try again during the rainy season.

Cornelius Falls trailhead is in the same parking lot. It's just to the left of the Bridal Veil sign. You'll see a small blue sign. But, yes, it might have been dry.

Wow yall! That was pretty cool to see! The last time I was at Bridal Veil Falls, I was 16. That was 44 years ago! And there wasn't a look out built back then, or signs, or a real parking lot. It was just a cool place to go see when we had good rains. And it was a place to go parking when out on a date. I imagine there have been several Cleburne countians that were conceived in that parking lot! Lol!

@@AllAboutArkansasTravels Sugarloaf Mountain was the same way. No parking lot so to speak, you just parked among the trees. That was a make out place too. And out by Sandy Beach too. And when the Swinging Bridge was still there, you could walk out on it and look at the moon reflecting on the water and stand on the bridge and kiss your date. Heber Springs was a beautiful place to grow up at. Enjoyed your video of Buffalo trip too!

@@AllAboutArkansasTravels I was just a couple of miles from there the day that happened. It was horrible! So much loss of life in our county that day and horrible stories. It was a sad sad day and one I won't forget. It had an impact on some of the rescue workers too. Very emotional.
