It was very unfair and unethical to show the bride a dress 50% over her budget. It gave me a bitter taste in my mouth and I feel sorry for the bride's family who was put on the spot through unethical selling from the assistant.

Got to say, Diana isn't my favorite consultant. I feel she pulls dresses knowing they are out of the bride's price range. I am astonished when Courtnee says her budget is $4500, and Randy & Diana look at each other like it's not feasible and could she stretch it a little. You probably would get a better deal at a smaller bridal shop. You only wear the dress one time for about 6 hours, and after you get your photo's back you rarely look at them after the first year.

When i bought my dress i went to a shop, told them my budget, without asking if there was wiggle room she came in with a dress $2000 over budget. I walked out. Went to another shop and got a beautiful dress for $2500 under budget.

4:18. What Randy says here is the unspoken truth of bridal gowns. The better the design, the more simple and more expensive. It takes taste to go understated. And I agree with much that has been said, the dress should not have been shown to the bride. Beading is the most expensive thing you can do to a garment, and that wedding dress was covered in it.

I remember an episode where Randy kind of scolded another store for pulling dresses that were out of the brides budget and he said something like “You must ALWAYS respect the brides budget”.
