I love this version of the show, the consultants are fun and the dresses are different from the usual fare. This is the first time I've seen them put a bride in an over-budget dress, so maybe they only did that because they knew her personally and were willing to comp the difference. She looked stunning in that second dress with the gold leaves on the sleeves, but the one she chose was unique and lovely too.

A Malaysian here. Our wedding dress comes in many different colours, not exclusive to only white, but yeah white is often the chosen colour but not considered as traditional as in the western. In fact I get where most of you're coming from, given the fact that this video looks old, it considered as wedding dress at that point of time. If it were for now, we probably get to see the guest wearing similar dress coming to the wedding.

That’s such a kind boss ❤I liked the way the first dress looked on her but it wasn’t what she wanted. The second dress was gorgeous but I liked it from the chest up I felt like the bottom didn’t match the golden sleeves. The third dress she just seemed so happy and I’m glad she stuck to what she wanted ❤

to be honest peplum dress usually seen as a weeding dress for weeding reception especially for malay bride, and most of them made in songket and topup with traditional accessories... although it is made with different material, for us malaysian it is a weeding dress.. for non-malaysian it could be seen as dinner dress 😅 i see lot of comment that said it don't pass as a weeding dress ... so yeahh just want to let you know, peplum dress is very famous and seen as one of the weeding dress here 😉

It's nice to see really unique dresses. The second one made with traditional fabric, for instance, is stunning, but the dress she chose was gorgeous and it's nice the boss picked it with the intention of covering the difference over her budget, otherwise it would've been really awful to even show it to her!

Does this version of STTDD have a formula? The bride tries on 3 dresses and always chooses the 3rd dress. I personally preferred the 2nd dress, it looked stunning. The 3rd dress is beautiful, but I felt that the colour and fabric looked more mature.
