BRIDE GETS HAIR MATTED A WEEK BEFORE WEDDING (MIGHT GET CALLED OFF): Vlog #1

The fact that we were fully booked and our other client cancelled the week of! Omg it was perfect timing truly. She got her hair MATTED last Wednesday when she went to another salon to get highlights in her hair for her wedding. And OH BOY did it get SO tangled! She went to multiple salons in her area to get it detangled and it only got worse, making the knots tighter and very matted. Her husband then was super concerned and loving, he filled the tub with water, bought detangling materials, candles, two glass of wine and worked on her hair for hours!! Still didn’t get Matty out and she came from North Carolina all the way to Miami on the following Monday. She obviously knew where to go, she knows her got herrrr or do we??
It was a pleasure to share this special moment with you all.

I have had covid hair twice. Not the horrific matting but the clumps and clumps of hair shedding. The hair loss alone is enough but to have matting on top of hair loss along with the stress of a wedding... You performed a miracle. Blessings!

I had Covid Hair had to have my bum length hair cut off because of hair loss started growing and then last year I knew something wasn't right turns out I had Cancer so went ahead and had it cut off again 😖 thankfully I'm in remission from Cervical Cancer since December ... But exactly the same as the lady it would Matt overnight 💜🙏💜

Oooof! I feel you so hard-I had ovarian cancer 2 years ago; donated my shoulder length natural hair-the rest of it fell out in clumps!!! Now that it’s growing back in a very odd curl pattern; I’m having to braid it to keep it in check. Praying you stay in remission all the way through.

@@CharTurner6928 thanks for your kind words. After about two years, my hair is back to normal. Almost 90% of my hair fell out quickly. The only thing that fixes it is time. It was hard waiting that long but it’s back to normal. It is very common unfortunately with Covid.

The way some hairdressers mess with your hair while shampooing…I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often. I had my hair cut a decade ago & this hairdresser was messing so much with my hair that I knew that once it came to the brushing part that I was going to have MANY MANY knots. We arrive at the brushing part & she’s fully yanking at my head. I ask if I can take the brush & detangle my hair because not only was it painful, but it was also damaging to my hair. I have curly hair, & that woman was in NO WAY trained for curly hair. The fact that it cost €80 is a crime. I asked for a straighten too & I walked out with the puffiest bush on my head. Criminal!!!! Anyways. I’m so happy for this lady, those tears just show you what it means to her!🥰

I cut my hair in alfil after illness. I didn't decide on a style until the week of. My sister and her friend came through and gave me a good detangle, relaxer, and pixie cut. Good hairdressers are a blessing

This is exactly why I waited to cut my hair after contracting Covid last month. I also got telogen effluvium and I would spend many minutes with my conditioner every night making sure I got tangles out before rinsing out. I've had the condition before after both my coach and a friend died within months of each other. Her hair turned out beautifully.

I had Covid hair, it was terrible! I was told it was because of the fever damaging the follicles. My heart goes out to her! I hope she’s prepared to have so many baby hairs for the next two years. I still have “teenage” hairs that are trying to grow.

The trauma is real. As a professional hairdresser, I always lay the hair out smooth, as I undo the foils, at the basin. I also softly shampoo, after foil work. Never rubbing hair into a "bird's nest". Well done. Take care.
