What a great group of people. Nobody was rude or obnoxious. Nobody was running around the store pulling dresses. Nobody acted like they were fashion experts. They were there solely to support the bride and that's what they did...with love Monique is by far my favorite bride ever.

I was a bit surprised initially on how unemotional the bride and her entourage was about the dresses, and then we got to the very end and got to see the mom/daughter relationship shine. How absolutely sweet!

I feel like a lot of people have issues saying how they truly feel when they know their opinion can influence the person they are talking to. Very different circumstances but when I chose my senior prom dress my mom and sibling who were with me barely said anything about it until we bought it. Only after we left the store with it did they start gushing about how much they loved it even though I asked them multiple times in store what they thought

I think it's nice she found a beautiful dress. But it threw me for a twist when she said they've been together for 20 years. I wonder what changed so that now they're getting married. A marriage ceremony is to mark the start of a committed relationship, or at least somewhere near the start. if you've been in a relationship that long you're already committed. It almost seems silly, like now I'll formally commit my life to you, when it's half over. If she's able to spend $9,000 on a dress, I don't think they were waiting for the money.
