She doesn’t need the dress in 24 hours. She came to the US to find a wedding dress and had 24 hours before she had to leave to go back to Canada. The dress will take months to make, and they will ship it to her in Canada the same way they do with other brides. It wasn’t a matter of “leave with a dress”- it was “find one before we go home”

I just did some digging on line and found this episode was taped in 2013! The Mississauga, Canada paper interviewed Alex when it was going to be on tv. She said they were at Kleinfelds in NYC in November and the wedding was in September the next year.

No matter how long a bride has been dreaming of her big day or how much money she has, I don't get flying to another country to buy a over-marked-up dress, no matter how famous the store. You'll have to fly back for all the fittings and then transport it home The no straps thing was added in for drama. YOu can easily add a boob cup or explore hidden tape/strapless bras

There was just something off about this whole piece. Fiancé looks like dad (I was 15 yrs junior to my second ex, but we were my 35 to his 50). I thought all the dresses looked “sloppy”, and definitely not like wedding dresses. The beaded straps looked really clunky, no matter where they were placed (shoulder or bodice), kind of like “let’s find the biggest and most garish engagement ring we can, and charge a bloody fortune for it”. Anyone know what she wore and if they’re still married? I think the “24 hrs” reference is because she’s from out of town. I assume she returned for fittings.
