This is the first time i heard Faruk apologised to Sureyya for what he & Begum put her through.

Faruk is irritating and talking nonsense. He was the one who hurt Sureyya. He is also the one that quickly moved on with Begum. Also not forgetting he was the one who is done trying by issuing the cheque to Sureyya. If he wants to save their marriage, then how come he is not contesting & opposing the divorce? I find Faruk wanting and alot of gaps in what he says and does. I wish the content creator have allowed their divorce to go through and let him suffer longer whilst Sureyya will have a successful career.

​​​​​​​​@@Diane391I don't know where you get this idea that Faruk moved on with Begum because he didn't. Emir is his son and that's the only reason why he tolerated her. Surreya was the stubborn one. He told her time and time again that he kept this from her to protect her. He also told her that Begum meant nothing to him, but she had this narrative in her head that he somehow wanted to be with her. She ran away yes because she felt betrayed, but that night when they slept together in Prague and Begum's message came through she felt insecure in their relationship. Surreya is the one who wanted a divorce. For Pete's sake he tried to find her for two months and when he found out where she was he went to win her back, but she was too stubborn. Why should he fight for their relationship? Why can't she fight for them too? He only gave her what she asked for and now she regrets it. Also it's based on a true story so these events actually happened so the person behind this drama couldn't change the outcome of their relationship. They had a wonderful relationship full of love and a house to share. Surreya was always self sabotaging their relationship because of the deep rooted issues she had with her parents dying when was so young and never gave anyone a chance to break her walls down.

It is true that Faruk didn't move on with Begum because Sureyya decided to come back to him, but he was very much involved in Begum's life behaving as if she was his second wife. He was meeting their son Emir at ex Begum house / territory without fail while Sureyya plays the waiting game at home. He played his daddy role very seriously while Begum was alive. When Begum was no longer around, he neglected Emir. He also told Can ( Sureyya's Lawyer) to stay away from Begum when Can started dating Begum, his exact words was " stay away from my women" . Faruk still considered Begum as his possessions/women and he was in a daze when Begum told him she was dating again. Is it jealously because of Emir or the thoughts that he was no longer the centre of Begum's attentions? All his actions contradicts himself. How is Sureyya supposed to feel when her husband seems unable to detach himself from his ex GF while his son Emir is also emotionally blackmailing him trying to get his parents together. Instead of rebuilding the trust with his wife Sureyya, he does the opposite (you gotta watch the episodes when Faruk,Emir & Begum went to family camp together and Faruk conveniently neglected to let Sureeya know). He knows very well how insecure his wife is because of him hiding the truth about his other family, Emir and Begum for months. Of course Faruk has his reasons and he can call the shots controlling the narratives, irrespective of the consequences. Well, this is my opinion. You may beg to differ. Btw, in real life the real couple were divorced too due to Ali Sarpkhan infidelity.

Look at Begum's reactions when Faruk told her that Emir runs to Sureyya. Her jealousy shows when Faruk told her to stay at the hospital i/o accompanying him to fetch Emir , as if she was Faruk's wife.I can imagine if she was in Sureeya's shoes, her jealousy would be to the limits. Emir and Sureyya were thrown in the same boat. For their ‘protection’ everyone lied to them to their faces. The hurting part was not just ripping the band off from the beginning. There was enough mutual respect and emotional support that the ones everyone was trying to protect wouldn’t have been the ones hurt the most. Sureyya would have bridged that gap for every one out of her friendship with Begum, her affection for Emir and her love for Farouk. They missed an opportunity for a beautiful, blended family.
