Remember when Surreya delivered his overnight bag to the weekend picnic where he went with Emir and Begum: he said he feels guilty that his son will not have a normal life with his parents , meaning Begum and Farouk. He feels he’s guilty forever that Begum left etc . If the translation is correct because sometimes the subtitles don’t make sense. And now Farouk feels the fragile bond with Emir is going to be disrupted because of Can. I always felt that his eyes showed that any time his emotions could be rekindled with Begum- despite the feelings he has for Surreya who filled a void after Begum and rekindled his joy in life .

Hated Esma & disappointed with Faruk at the same time for he knows exactly what his mother is doing. The right thing for Faruk to do is just leave and go back to Sureyya after all they just reconciled and he have spent the day with Emir. Why stay & lingers at Begum house for dinner and stay up late with Emir when you know your mother has cleverly planned the dinner excluding Sureyya and clearly disrespect your wife. I am truly irritated and have no patient with Faruk. His indecisiveness when situation demands quick thinking and prompt action is appalling. There’s only 2 people who refuse to seen what Farouk and Sureyya have. And that’s his mother and Ipek. Begum didn’t need Farouk to tell her what she already knew deep down that their time has come and gone. They whole house was in cahoots trying to get them back together. Knowing that Begum was Farouk’s first love didn’t stop them from wanting Sureyya back. Even the brothers were scheming. Yea they were each other’s first love but Sureyya touched places and parts of Farouk that she never has and that’s the difference. Shame of Esma and Begum for using Emir as a pawn. Begum’s a smart lady she should have picked up on the game when Esma came to her office. How do you go from running the girl away 13 years ago to now wanting her to be your daughter in law?
