What the sons are doing is rebellion. The Mom always loved them but in an unfair controlling manner. She would pick their wives and when Faruk married Sureyya we know how it went. This is a boomerang... her sons are also possesive of their Mom, incapable to acknowledge she has the right to be happy and that their leaving will spoil her happiness. When she was young Esma was in love with Garip, but she chose the tradition by which her parents educated her and then raised the kids accordingly expecting them to obey tradition at the expense of their feelings. Sadly, Esma raised them to be selfish.

What a cruel thing .. to get married to someone whom you don’t know, don’t love.. just because of some stupid traditions.. someone else to decide your life… life is hard even when you marry someone you really love!! Esma followed that stupid tradition still.. she opposed all her kids partners whom they loved .. made their life hard! Much later she realized she was wrong!!!

I just love Faruk, talking to both Garip and Esma. Especially Esma because I think in her first wedding (with fevzi when she was young) she didn't have her father with her and for a daughter, for a bride the father daughter time before wedding is really important but here Faruk being the eldest son came to talk to her before her wedding knowing fully well she must be nervous, sad etc. all at once. I just love Faruk, he is really a great guy❤

Can't believe how selfish her sons are being, no sense in it, you would think Garip was a real jerk or some young guy after her money, that would make living with them unbearable, but Garip has been nothing but a Sweetheart to all of them, and has such history and a bond with their Mom! And it looks like from the comments I'm not the only one that questions how Sureyya dresses, baggy sloppy sweaters, tacky skirts, or dresses like a old old lady, or a teenager, and the never ending "boots" for the lead actress hard to understand ?!?

Garip is a man of wisdom especially the way he talk to Faruk. Hopefully Faruk meant what he said to Garip & take some valuable lessons from Garip on humility & the way to treat people with respect. 😅 It appears both Faruk & Fikret have lots to learn as far as respect, humility, honesty, loyalty , trust and relationship are concerned. Facts Diane! I agree with everything you wrote , 1000 PERCENT. They behave like children, but say they are grown men . I'm over here yelling at the screen watching . I feel like faruk can't see that emir is in the same position he is in a way. Because emir has to live with his dad and his dads wife and emir is expected to be ok with it. Surreya is good for emir , I agree. It's just that faruk is all about his own feelings and understanding. I don't like when surreya tries to speak to faruk about something and he will brush her off .. saying not now ,we will talk later. Smh and faruk knows he shouldn't have allowed okcan to give him that woman assistant. She has eyes for faruk , and I think faruk kinda knows that she does.

Not sometimes all the time either an old lady or a teenager, it's been my pet peeve this whole series I don't know who the wardrobe crew were who dressed her but they must not have liked her!! Lol All the other ladies always dressed Great even the maids dressed better than her, and after her aunt married Akif she started dressing very stylish!
