I'm a Black American and I've never sat and watched any series at all, in my life, but I was captivated by this one. I've been mad, sad, laughed and cried. The scripts and acting is phenomenal. Anybody who knows me knows I don't get into much, but when I tell you this has been good, baby, it has been good. I'm a couple of years late, but I found it for a reason. All of the actors and actresses were great! I wanted to slap a few people along the journey 😅, but it has been great. Big applause to everyone and let's not forget the writers. I love foreign movies.

So many hints in just 5 minutes: the way he was looking at Esma, how he said "I love you" to her, how he held his chest, how he said to Faruk "I can now die a happy man", how tired he got to the top of the stairs, how he laid on Esma's side of bed...Also, white shirt = purity, angels, peace, death. Within a few minutes I realized what was coming only from the above. Otherwise I'd have never predicted it! He was always funny and full of life... Incredibly sad, what a man! I can't get out of this shock!!! Garip spent more than 42years,yearning if he would get back his true love and when he did, there were lots of obstacles. Esma going to a nursing home thus distancing herself from him affected Garip extremely,with all that shortened his life span but he was was still a very strong and promising man to live more years. Therefore,if your love story was like that of Garip and Esma,ladies,let your husband be your first priority if ,he vowed to be with you in health and sickness. Rip dearest Garip🙏

That's EXACTLY how unpredictable life is...we would all expect them to have more time together after all this 40 years wait for their love to blossom...they had some AMAZING time but life it has it's own rules where the only predictable thing is the unpredictability ...Garip needed to go so we could witness further on all the array of coming up emotions we would in the next 10 episodes until curtain is finally drowned...There is so much to bear there for all of them and for us to shed MORE tears upon it silently...Esma's pain would become OUR pain ... THAT would be so deep that we wouldn't be able to feel more for Garip there on top...he must go now bless his soul so we can mourn properly and let our hearts to grief as he deserves to be. They all liked and loved him at this point in the family...but only leaving behind Esma shows truly HOW MUCH love can a broken heart carry on ...in fact true Esma dies with him right THERE her old and tired heart can not go on with out old Garip...the young hearts will fly on weightless in eternity no one can damage their love now it's part of those immortal big loves which makes your skin get goosebumps and your chest feel the pain so deeply that you actually may FORGOT for a while that you are only watching a movie series...but what a great incredible one THERE is you just WON'T care if those around you would laugh and say "hey it's just a movie" ... you'll keep on crying and feeling her pain as your own because you earned it so WON'T be shy to cry with her and for her... Ipek Bilgin WHAT an extraordinarily played act throughout ❤❤❤👏👏👏 ... and the GOLDEN GLOBE & OSCAR awards goes to...for the best leading actress in Esma's role played perfectly by this very talented soul Ipek Bilgin🏆🏆🏆🎬

You wrote a tremendous mini book!! I’m 78 Black woman married 55years, movie buff and have NEVER seen anything like it - no boobs and sex all over the film! Every emotion ever to be experienced in it from hate to love. Deception, jealousy, millionaire- bankruptcy, divorce/restoration to Forgiveness!!Every actor from the kitchen to the yard was superb! That ESMA know she was QUEEN! In every way- she supernaturally played a sold out mother to those boys! A bit overboard, with tradition, but eased out of that! She was tough but full of wisdom and underneath kindhearted! She “worked that sickness” straight on into an OSCAR award to me‼️ her makeup artist and hair stylist were phenomenal!!! THE ENDING OF THIS BLEW ME AWAY!!!!! Never seen anything like it!! I loved Ugalda (however u spell it😂ski resort!! and I can’t ski- yet! I’m planning on going end next year!! I just loved the way Furuk loved his wife Sureyya!!so caring, forgiving /,I wept like a baby when he fell on his knees and wept before Sureyya after Esma had that fake divorce drawn up!! What a blessing to die with such a smile. No remorse, no need for redemption. All accounts settled. If we live without fear, we will die without fear. How mature of Faruk to acknowledge past mistakes and ask for forgiveness. Surraya made him a better man as he said. So many lessons in this series.
@sophiekamveris49662 жыл бұрын
I am surprised though. Yes, he had no remorse but I would not have thought he wanted to leave Esma behind, knowing how stress added to her disease. He went to great lengths in the nursing home to be with her. Why leave her behind in such a state now knowing the damage that will be inflicted on her at his passing? Sureyya has buried a child and two parents, Emir a mother, and Esma two husbands.

@@sophiekamveris4966 Perhaps it's because he learned all he needed to in his lifetime? One of Garip's life lessons was keeping abiding faith. He truly held that through every imaginable trial through a lifetime. Maybe what Esma has to endure now is a lesson or experience she couldn't have if he were still here protecting her. Although Esma's been loosening her grip on controlling everything/everyone and in maintaining the Boran's image, she's still clinging to her status and outward "appearances." She joked about it but she left the retirement home a day ago worried about what people would think of her after that welcome party fiasco. I can't believe that Garip has died, such an incredible human being committed to his feelings that he persevered until he was reunited with Esma, he married her and got the love of her whole family and then the return of esma, he deserved to have lived more and enjoyed from that deep love that he felt for the love of his life, perhaps life did not let him suffer watching Esma die but allowed him to die first to at least die with the consolation of having achieved his dream of marrying her.
