Hi all, this drama is getting close to the end. I have to say that I have to rate this drama as the best out of all the Turkish dramas that I have watched. I watch this from Season 1, and hesitated to continue, but believe me, patience paid. The story line is just so magnificent and you will love/hate/love the characters and analyzed them the way that the writer wrote their parts. Finally, I want to give credit to the English subtitle people. They really worked very hard to get us all tuned in to this drama every single day. Be prepared to shed more tears. I will definite miss BOI! Good luck to all. I started watching Grand Secrets, but I can use another good one like BOI.

I applaud each and every actor in this series. The roles they all played especially in the last few episodes would've been quite difficult. I can imagine them all having certain feelings playing these roles. Alzhiemers is a very despicable disease, they all deserve much applause.

Throughout the series there have been FaceTime calls with the family. Murat and Bade went to study but also to reshape their lives. Esma never accepted Bade, so they won’t come back. In reality the actors both took better roles and are not allowed to do both.

Sureyya has the personality that would play God and kill someone because she thinks she knows best and is helping them. I think it is too harsh to say Sureyya is trying to play God when she is not even thinking of doing what Esma asked of her. No one is perfect and so is Sureyya. Be fair to her. Her acting this way makes it very realistic. What's right seems so clear to viewers who are not IN this very complex and difficult situation. It's an enormously difficult experience to witness someone suffering and wanting to have their dignity intact while dying. This is why so many people refuse treatment when they are terminally ill. I'm sure subconsciously Sureyya wants someone in the family to find out without her having to tell anyone and betray Esma.

Süreyya always closes herself off and it looks suspicious, Faruk knows when something s wrong. Sometimes things are better kept to one’s self, however something like assisted suicide needs to be discussed. Most Alzheimer patients at a some point fear losing their mind more than they fear death, and can get quite suicidial ( and in Esma case having lost the love of her life in the beginning of this its a double whammy) that's why they need a professional caregiver 24/7, Sureyya is not that person she is not emotional healthy herself. Esma is entering that point to where she won't remember anyone, and will live much of the time in the past. At times She will think her children are her parents and so on. Actually... the story of Yaz is a real story. Bride of Istanbul is fiction but parts of two different real-life stories are incorporated in the series. Yaz's story is told in the book "Hayata Don" (Return to Life) and they presented that story in the Turkish series "Kirmizi Oda" (The Red Room). Her name in that story is Alya and it's a really, really gruesome and disturbing story though.

@@catherinefrank6981 The first patients going through therapy have super tragic childhood experiences - especially, the story of Alya (Yaz) and the story of Meliha. They basically take characters through therapy with flashbacks. It's sort of like you would learn Adem's story in about 12 episodes. Super intense. For now, it's too much for me and I can't watch it anymore but the series is very, very high quality. The acting is off the charts. By the way, Salih Badem (Fikret) is in the first set of stories. Adem brings a lot to this drama , from the very beginning, he has had a very interesting character arch. Then my favourite is Esma hanim..... really had me in stitches 🤣🤣😆, absolutely love her, fine actress!! Sureyya and faruk are quite boring in their marriage IMHO, very passionless!! I agree Faruk & Sureyya's relationship has become a stalemate and lost its romance ever since Ozgur came on the scene until now and Esma"s illness put further strain on them. It seems F&S marriage are heading downhill because both party seem uninterested to bring back their once passionate love for one another alive again. Sureyya is now too busy caring for Esma which she took upon herself thus neglecting her own family and lost herself in the process. Faruk is also lost in his own thoughts and his marriage has been long dead and cold. It's a good thing this story is coming to an end. No more dramas, tears & tensions.

Whether Esma has Alzheimer or not, I strongly believe that people whom lose their loved ones. See them and feel their presence in their home. Especially those who have a very strong and deep connection. My neighbour saw her Dad standing at her front door, even though he had been dead for five year's. He was warning her about her now ex husband. Lot's of stories out there about people seeing their Grandparents, Parents, Husband, Wives, and Children. 11th October 2023
