I'm really pleased with Fikret's reactions to Esma. His character has grown so much. You could see that there was a tinge of hurt when Esma said she wanted Faruk and Ipek together but there was no anger or internal explosion. He knows that he and Ipek are the right couple together and that Esma saw that truth herself. The family has dealt with the situation with grace. What an awful strain for Gulistan though. Let's hope Esma never imagines her friend is having an affair with the help...

I totally agree. I don't understand that at all. She must be watched 24 hours a day.. They need to block off any form of opening to the outside in the upstairs. She can get up in the middle of the night when they are sleeping and jump out or anything if she is confused. I think she will stay confused now for most of the time. They will learn to respond to her in a way that eases the tension. Fikret is good at that. Supposedly, Anastasia is a nurse, so it's interesting that she is detached in how she responds. The Osman-A relationship seems to forced and not genuine at this point of the series.

@@sophiekamveris4966 Yes, I noticed the change Osman and Anastasia's relationship as well. The honeymoon phase of their relationship is over. Esma only recently accepted their relationship but they're clearly nervous again about what she'll think of them and whether she'll explode on Anastasia. Dealing with a language barrier, being in a foreign country, etc. would be hard for Anastasia and easily strain a budding romantic relationship.

I love that they made Faruk a part of Sureyya's opportunity and he recognized her dreams (finally!). But, at this point of the series, has it only been three years since they met? (she mentioned it had been 3 years since she was in a recording studio, but she did record when they lost the mansion, so maybe it's longer). A lot has happened in between.

The beauty of this series is the lessons about daring to grow into becoming better people as we accept our mistakes and give the same courtesy to others who might have done us wrong. The character of Faruk has grown so much to accept his own selfishness in preventing the love of his life to abandon her dreams. And of course even Ipek, the psychopath, grew into a better person. It is inspiring to watch. The series happens over three years.
