Got to say that I don’t think any of the dresses flattered her figure at all, they all seemed to cut her in half at the waist. In Gok’s defence, I suppose he could only work with what was available at time of the shoot. Although as long as the bride is happy is what counts at the end of the day.

I think the second one would have been lovely if the bodice was 2 inches longer, showing her hips flaring out a bit. It would have made her waist look narrower than having the line tight across it.

re: the comment section- i think this store has the more shapely/sexier dresses, but that's not what the bride wanted! She wanted something very similar to what you see on her, if you listen to her and also look at the sketch at the beginning of what the bride wanted. I think she looked lovely in her chosen dress, and the mom and Gok's reaction was hilarious!

Of the three showcased dresses the third looked the best on Justyna. It was the most flattering around the waist. All three dresses were old-fashioned and dowdy though which is strange for Gok as he usually chooses gorgeous dresses.

He has to work with what was available to him. This isn't in Lancashire, it's in Poland and this salon doesn't have the range of gowns he can have access to in Lancashire.

He's not in the UK or the United States. There may be different traditions and styles in that country. We have to go with what the bride to be and her entourage chose. I didn't like the selection myself, although i liked the concept of the third dress.

As a bridal consultant, I feel a better way to approach short waisted women is a dropped corset, basque waist, a dress with no seam at the waist at all, or figure hugging with maybe some ruching.

I liked the contemporary lace pattern and I like the sunflower 🌻 print of the second gown but I agree with the rest of the comments about how it seems like Gok didn’t have quite the same range to work with. I would have loved to see a different silhouette or dropped waist.

She looked at least 4-5 months along in the dresses. And the colors made her features disappear especially in her face. They were fun and lively as a whole so it was confusing to see what made them pick those dresses.

Oh my gosh, I completely agree. I didn’t even like the third one. When she said classic and elegant my mind went toward structure and satin, not what was shown. I still love Gok, but this episode left me really disappointed.

As longs she loves it, that is what’s important. I didn’t really care for any of the dresses. They were all okay. Not to mention depending on her budget she only had those dresses to pick from. No one knows what her budget was but them. As long the Future Bride to be is smiling ear to ear, nothing else matters. Good for her!!

Disagree as short f short waisted ( men & women ) pose a problem. Plus she had a pisture leaning backward whereas too many of us barely stand straight . I think that that 3rd dress de- emohasised very subtlety that problem & the way the skirt fell in front was very clever as it fell.flat giving her the elegance required .So for me Gok found a way to beautify in a modest complementary manner .....Only wish I had understood the Motger as her gestures suggest she also understands how to address the difficulties posed by off the rail dresses as Gok.so often does with such flair by a nuck.or tug whereas too many SYTTD personel just up the price or Say it with a Veil which is not artistry

Yes, the dress looked beautiful on her but she said it made her feel too hot. There is more than looks to consider when choosing a special outfit. I loved the second dress on her and the way she, the dress and veil flowed as she walked at the end.

Agree. But I always wonder if any of the brides had Polish air force relatives in WW2, or any other thrilling stories. Churchill really betrayed the Poles, at the end of the war. Roosevelt didn't care, but nothing was done by his replacement. But it haunts me, what happened to the Poles.

If you look closely, you will see the ear buds in both Gok's and the bride's ears. There must be someone translating simultaneously so the conversation flows naturally. Didn't see the ear buds on the entourage, but they must also have them, also. What a great way to film the spontaneous conversation in the 'foreign' language!

Yes, a continuous smooth vertical flow of fabric and lace embellishment, or a dropped waistline would be better to elongate her waist rather than chopping her in half with that horizontal line, thus emphasising the wrong elements of her figure. Surely they had a 'traditional' dress style that was more flattering? It could still be modest, and romantic. Or is a standard waisted dress seen as the only acceptable style in Poland?

A lot of the dresses he had in the UK were the beautiful Essence of Australia gowns from Australia. From what I’ve seen when he’s in this country all of the dresses are boring and uninspiring!

I was looking at the other dresses that are in the salon, and not all of them are like that (but I don't see many different types of dresses). Therefore, I feelt that this style is what the bride wants. So, for all of the people who fawn on Gok all the time, look at this appointment to my points. Gok is not magic. He is limited to the budget, the style the bride wants, and the types of dresses at the salon. And since there is no emotional therapeutic aspect to this appointment, we don't get an emotional connection. The bride loves the dress that she picked. It isn't what I would have picked, but it isn't my wedding. Gok still listened to her to give her the dress of her dreams, and that is what is the most important.
