@@v.dargain1678 Just fine?! You probably not a performer. Or simply musician without any emotions. Why do composers write their pieces? To express their emotions, to tell imaginary story, to describe real historical event (Chaikovsky " 1812 Overture, etc.). Or it could be majestic story of love and romance. It nesseseraly to take in consideration facts such as what was going in society at that time, what was going on in composer's life, soul, relationships. The main role of performer is to transfer to the public all of what composer had in mind. It's performer's responsibility. In addition performer is weaving in his/her emotions, memories, struggles. This beautiful young lady is extremely strong, brave and love her husband very much. She did something very privet. She used Debussy's music as a tool, as a brush to tell, to draw picture of her feelings, love, anger, doubts, happiness. She turn herself inside out for every one. To share happiness. And your, V. @@theenglishcoach6271 I'm a keyboard gal myself and I stink at sightreading, too. You're not alone. 😅😁 Personally, some of the unintentional pauses made your rendition of this piece that much more dramatic. Debussy is not something one sightreads, IMO. Just as I wouldn't try to sightread anything by Vangelis, one of my other favorites. 😅 Sit me down in front of a piano like that, "Chariots of Fire" in front of me and I would be perfecting that piece for hours. (Just don't expect me to run on a beach. 🤣)

Girl, you had me by the heart, from the first few notes. This piece, of all classical compositions, is my all time favorite. My mother used to play this when I was a child. Made me teary eyed then, as it did just now. There's just so much emotion in it. As for being flawless, you needn't have worried, it was pretty damned close. Besides, as a musician myself, I've found, people respond more to heart than perfection and in that regard, you've got it in spades. I realize I'm late to the party, but happy belated wedding day to you and your husband and to many years of marital joy. Thank YOU for this! Yours truly, Bro.

In addition to her great musical gifts, bride has to be and is an old soul with a deep, empathic, sensitive, and loving heart to play with such feeling and sensitivity. Plus non-ruffled reaction to the wind blowing her sheet music like that. Her husband has a treasure in such a woman and I hope he carefully protects, nurtures, cherishes, and treats kindly and lovingly such a divine gift he is blessed to receive.

A perfect reflection of a great marriage. A truly beautiful start, a few hesitations, a mis-step, but it keeps going to the finale which ends as softly and beautifully as it began. Those mis-steps by the way are the children who will cause that page to stick.

Amazing!!! I cried while watching this. I now play for my sweet sweet Mother, who has dementia. She'll close her eyes and feel the music, then when I stop she'll start crying and saying "why don't I remember that you can play the piano "? Ir breaks my heart every time, to the point now I'm thinking that it may be causing her harm and I should stop. She's always been my main cheerleader and her and I have played together for each other for my lifetime.... I pray that your marriage is strong today as I'm watching this 2 years later. Keep the music flowing with your children as you have them and make it fun, not a chore for them. Blessings. ❤❤❤
