I love this series so much more than the other "Say Yes" programs b/c the brides aren't a bunch of whiny, pretentious princesses squealing "I'm so quirky & fashion-forward & special!" Instead, these are women with real insecurities & uncertainties, like we all have, whether it's about our appearance or some other feature. Jo & Al are amazing ladies who change the lives of their customers by giving them the chance to see themselves in a new light. Bravo to them!

I think there should be more shows like this, promoting positive attitudes towards women of all shapes and sizes. We're not a one size fits all society and these ladies do an amazing job of making sure these brides see their own beauty

Every bridal shop needs a "Jo and Al" team. So many completely dismiss you if you arent going to buy the 1st of 2nd dress they show you RIGHT NOW. Rarely do they take the time to help you over any hurdles you may have.

@@nadiakononenko6769 maybe not all of them were divorces, maybe deaths were involved. The mother of a friend has been married 3 times because her first 2 husbands died. And even if they were divorces, the best one can do is to move forward and see them as learning experiences. And I know, I've been divorced once

That dress looked good on her the second time she tried it on. It must have been her lack of confidence the first time that made it look different somehow. I know this episode is around ten years old, but I do hope they've had a good marriage in all that time, and that they're still going strong.

When I went dress shopping for my 2nd wedding- I didn't have any girlfriends to go and my Mom lived far away.......I had picked an "ok" dress that was where I wanted to b for price and then there was a gorgeous dress that was SO far above my budget! I took my husband to be back w me and told the shop girl I needed to try them both on! He had gotten paid that morning- said "I don't need to see them" opened his wallet and set down the additional $300 he had received on his paycheck that morning and said "order her the dress she loves!" I had planned on spending 300- my dress was 600 (they were sweet and sold me the off the rack price for brand new!!!)

i had a very similar experience to dionne. no real emotional connection to my dress, i just picked it cause i could get it cheap online. i tried it on in-store and while they didn't make me feel fat, they didn't really give me any guidance one way or the other, and because i didn't spring for petticoats i looked like i was smuggling a monster truck tire under my dress. i don't think i'll ever have an opportunity to buy another dress so i'll settle for supporting my daughter whenever she ends up buying hers.

That silhouette is one of my very favorites. I pretty much watched all of your videos and when I see this silhouette I think " if I were to get married again I think I'd get that with some loose fluttery sleeves" then I think I'm never getting married again but I would love a dress like that.
