I actually learned a lot from Jo and Al and was able to use it to help my mom. She's gained a lot of weight due to some medical issues and has been feeling really down about herself, so I took her shopping to my favorite thrift store to find her a new wardrobe. There was a moment where she was looking through things and feeling really discouraged, and I thought, Jo and Al would make sure she gets in some clothes and sees how nice she can look before morale drops too low. So I rushed her back to the fitting room and had her start trying things on. By the time we were done, she was dancing and saying she loved every thing we ended up buying her. It was so great to see how different a person can feel when she's wearing clothes that make her feel good. Thanks for the guidance, Jo and Al!

Jo and Al know how to dress these plus-sized girls. It's horrifying to see the plus sized girl at Kleinfeld's, where they just try to drape on a dress any which way. It is never flattering there. Jo and Al are amazing

Yes, I've noticed Kleinfelds will tell the plus sized bride she looks beautiful in a dress, even when she doesn't ....just to make the sale. On this show, Jo and Al actually care and want the bride to look her best in a dress

What I can never believe, is so many Americans say their shops are better than the English! With Joe and Al and Gok, I haven't seen any American show that comes anywhere NEAR them. If they are comparing with Emanuel - I think they are equally bad. Though E. seems to have read the mountains of comments about not respecting budgets - eventually. The Americans and E are all appalling with big girls.

I got so fed up I blocked the channel, but yt, in their greed, sends a few through and if it is Jo and Al or Gok, I succumb.

Both brides looked amazing in their wedding dresses, that corset back really does snatch the waist so nicely, giving both brides lovely waistlines. My girlfriend got married in 2003 on the beach in Hawaii. Since they went alone, I didn’t see the wedding dress till a couple years later, when she took it out of the bag, that was the first time I saw the draw-ribbon corset back, that’s when I realized how her wedding photos made her look amazing, she has a great figure but she always hid under baggy tops, that dress snatched her waist perfectly.

Unfortunately, I’ve still got MumTum and my kids are 39 and 34! I kept 20 lbs from each of them so am 40 lbs overweight but I’ve learned to live with it! Jo and Al are so wonderful and being big ladies themselves, the brides feel instantly at home! Those two women are the reason this is my very favorite of all the Say Yes to the Dress iterations! Can you see these brides handled so tenderly at Kleinfelds or Confetti and Lace? I can’t although Gok is very good too with low self esteem brides.
