Had the H120 version back in the day, scary fast. The "pillarless" thing is great, wish cars had it in this day and age ! hyper-cool today.

I had one. One interesting feature was how the fastback shape acted as a wing so anything over 70 meant you started to become airborne!

I had a nice metallic blue Rapier back in the early 1970s. Lot of fun and got many admiring looks. Had overdrive in third and fourth gear and was surprising quick for a car of it's time. Back when driving was fun. Good memories.........where did the time go 🤔🤔

The reason they are so scarce is because they are total rust boxes Look great, but totally unreliable. I had 2 of em and sorry to say the worse cars i have ever owned even though they are pretty looking

If i some how won the lottery, this is the car that i would buy for my dad. It is a car he has previously owned, and he continues to talk about to this day. That, and a MK1 Granada, in fact he had two of them at the same time. Don't know if they were both Ghias but one of them was at least.

I had one of the Alpine GT's he mentioned, the best bit of those cars is putting the windows down and the whole side was open.

Exotic for the day! Production car with DB5 looks - or near enough! 😊

Yeah man,should have wound down back window's for the full pillarless look,my first&second car,used to put two kart's on top,two sets of roof bars,one kart would be over the back window as the gutter's went all the way back, dripping petrol on back screen round corners,had chrome rostyle cortina wheel's,blue metallic, favourite car.allot of old car's look a bit weird now,but these don't.twas the Piller less beauty that made me buy it £200 then,10k now

I am lucky enough to own on of these, although it's an Alpine coupe with 4600 original miles that is a concours trophy winner.

Hillman Hunter coupe. Isn't the handbrake in the unusual place near the drivers door?

Big shame when the Rootes group cars were replaced with Chrysler crap. But still a very attractive car x

My dad had the base model M reg Sunbeam Alpine with a 1725 cc single Stromberg carb. but I told my schoolmates that it had twin 40 webers as used on the H120. Think I got away with it!

It looks like a 3/4 scale 1964-66 Plymouth Barracuda. _(9/14/2022)_
@thefloorkiller2 жыл бұрын
It was designed on the Barracuda, that's a nice car but the interior is not as nice as original, the dash doesn't look right with that retrim, the centre console should have an ashtray at the front of the gearlever and one at the rear of the console and those seats are aftermarket but they look the part, I wouldn't mind knowing what car they came from as I would probably fit some in mine

this is nice id rather have a fiat dino but this would do .

And funky handbrake next to door, load's of clocks,you missed a few quirks,twin pipes,took ford wheel's,17 mpg although lead footed 17 year's old,hump back bridge on a fast corner sent me to a brick wall,killed it,next one was autotwatic unfortunately
