bridge fishing in panama city - Trying to land Giants from Kayak. We fished Tyndall Bridge on this sunny afternoon with live shrimp and pinfish. Dang man, you even had my adrenaline pumping! Maybe you need to park away from those bridge legs. Park in between them, or just outside them. So your angle of pull on the fishing line, may pull the fish away from snags and into clear water. Maybe even drop over, one of those hand held video cameras, and take a look at the underwater bridge structure? Looks like fun, good luck, next time.

Thanks man. I tried dropping further out from the pilings to give a little space but couldn’t get any bites. I was undersized on my equipment anyway for some of those fish I hooked. I originally was just fishing for mangrove snapper so I didn’t have any real heavy gear. Thanks for watching!

Fished there yesterday. No good on mangroves. Current was ripping. I didn't have live bait though. Couple croakers and undersize mango.

Thanks Cole. This is the bridge that goes to Tyndall Air Force bade. We move permanently to Florida in 2021. After we move and get comfortable I plan on starting a part time guide service for kayak fishing and land based shark fishing. Thanks for watching.

Those are circle hooks I'm using. If you set the hook with those it just pulls it out of the fishes mouth.

bubby hardy that’s kind of a crap shoot, they will be in big schools moving around. You can catch them in the pass and Harbour but you can also find them cruising off the beach. Best bet is to call some of the bait shops and ask where they’ve been seeing them.

Dropped some Goliath baits by kayak but never got hit.

A group of us used to fish there with our kayaks when there was a big outgoing tide. We would use the large Vudu Mullett or some other large artificial paddle tail or top waters like Whopper Ploppers and do very well on bull reds. We would get there just before dark and stay until the tide finished going out. Some nights I caught 6 or seven bulls and got broke off a few times.m

Was actually targeting giant sheepshead whic are very leader shy hence the 15-20 leader. But that is no match when they get you into the pilings.
