I wanted an easy day of fishing and Mother Nature supported that decision by placing a school of Glass Minnows and Pilchards right at the launch. Then made the current outgoing which set-up a nice close channel right by the bridge. With those two components I knew it was going to be an easy day.

Wrong net size for those baits lol. Mirco or small tarpon are pretty guaranteed in key largo to Islamorada. Let’s have a one day fishing tournament( live streamed) for 1k or 2k a boat. 1st 🥇 takes the pot. You can pick the species the date and location also 🤷‍♂️. If you turn it down maybe 1 of your viewers wants to take your spot. No I’m not a guide in the keys. You can reach me at bobhewes21 or anthonyhewes21 on intragram. This is 💯.

Love the channel. I like that you show the little things that drive all of us mad…line twisted around the tip of the rod…gear getting loose and in the way…etc. most channels just show a guy catching a fish, you take the ego out of it. This is a great channel to learn a ton about inshore fishing. As a side note I just punched a 5 pack of your Cuda Tubes.
@CrazyTaxiDasher
@CrazyTaxiDasher 3 жыл бұрын
Love the channel.I had a thought while watching this, if you are chumming, all of the bait you are chumming with is sinking at a certain speed. When you have a weighted hook, your bait starts falling and acting much differently than your chum, and your bait can stick out like a sore thumb. This can be a good or bad thing depending on the scenario like if the big fish are deeper and you want to get the bait down to them before the little guys get it.However, if the seem to be hesitant, a quick switch to a smaller thin wire hook to be the ticket so that it doesn't affect the action or sink rate of you bait. I find this especially useful when chumming finicky snapper. Again love the content. Much love.

when you just get to many glass minnows in your net, pinch and shake first to get as many as you can then, set it outside for a day or two, then hang it up and pressure wash it with a hose and nozzle, they just wash out after about a day. then put about a cup of hair conditioner in a five gallon bucket mix well. let sit over night, take out in morning, wash out good and hang it to dry. this will make your net much easier to shake out unwanted bait next time.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK haha. last year I had a tarpon snap my 9' ugly stik big water rated for up to 50lb line when i was fishing under the Bahia Honda bridge live lining a grunt and ZOOOM! peeling line then the rod popped shortly after the 70lb flouro went too. coming back down from Pennsylvania this spring break to get another shot at them. Got a new rod and rod combo. however I didn't learn my lesson and went with a flea market find of a heavy offshore angler (also rated for 50lb braid) (Cabela's/bass pro brand) boat rod instead of a surf rod like the big water(I do a lot of striper fishing) and a 6000 size penn fierce with 50lb berkley trilene. I want a triple digit poon or close to. any tips? ya think that I can get away with that gear. Im replacing the drag washers on the penn, they were sticky, still just using some felt that I got from the flea as well. (the reel came from the flea too $40 score) thanks for any feed back.
