i really like that the 2 rapper guys genuinally liked the school shooters writing Like i bet if he chose to like, trust them and share with others he'd get friends
@guyrocketram9698 Жыл бұрын
thats the irony with this whole episode, not only did Moe & Skid (the name of the rappers) like Issiah's (school shooter kid's) writing so did every other kid in the school, Moe & SKid genuinley grew an audience reading it of people who related to Issiah's writings. A lot of people who feel like theyre alone or the only one suffering or wolves in the world of sheep really are never alone. Most everyone is a bit sad deep down you're never alone in you struggles, and art and in this case poetry can be a powerful way to relate to people on a deep level. In a way art really is like getting a piece of yoruself expressing a part of your emotion and putting it out there and eventually you're gonna find someone who feels the same way as you. Even if this is a really goofy over exaggerated example of it (Issiah's writings are genuinley beyond concering and not something I think most could ever relate too) I think the way this episode kinda potrays that message is very true in a way. Issiah no matter how much he thinks he's alone as someone being tortured by the education system and struggling with loneliness isnt alone in that regard. Some people are just better at putting on masks.

@@guyrocketram9698If you cut the mass shooting part, I can relate to this character, in a less exagerrated way, I too happen to think that everyone else has too much of an easy-going view on things compared to me, like that they all think life is minimalized to society, the problem is that society is not very cool to be honest and if that's all life has to offer then I might want to have been born in another reality. I feel like everyone ignores me, and I feel like alienated from everything around, everything feels like pain and it feels frustating that I never meet people who can see it too and make things a bit easier. I too feel alone on this,. This character felt like calling me out, so it made me feel a bit embarassed, it's not the first time someone I can relate too gets parodyzed but in this one it's funny and the character has qualities that make him actually unlikeable like the fact that he wants to kill everyone(to be honest that doesn't make him very unlikeable since everyone else in this series is 100 times more unlikeable than him expect for the 2 protagonists and the little brother lol,but at least it's an actual negative trait that doesn't make you feel like maybe the parody is being too harsh let's say)
@guyrocketram9698 Жыл бұрын
@@Medlair i mean even Fugger (the fat kid with the teeth) and Lars (the punk kid with the nose. i know the names are hard to remember since theyre never actually stated in the dialogue and just in the credits.) are both kinda screwed up too. Fugger of course called the cops and got many people killed and felt pretty much no remorse at all, even feeling it it was just and Lars too didnt really seem too scared or upset by the events going on either even though he knew it was all just a harnless music thing and not an actual shooting. Also, Lars in the newest episode is shockingly ok with the idea of his little brother being dead only being mildly worried on what his parents would do to him. i think issiah is treating with quite a bit of empathy throughout the show which is why you find him so relatable despite how kinda detestable he can be. the show makes a point to kinda treat him as sad and lonely and even does things like how awkwardly happy he gets around Lars showing his small acts of kindness towards him as them being friends, and him outright crying when Fugger and Lars leave his house in the birthday episode. he is really is nuanced and im really glad you were able to see yourself in him since I think thats a sign of a well written character.

How has Adult Swim not pick this show up yet? It's sooooo good and a perfect fit for their content. The creator(s) deserves money and fame for this masterpiece. This content is platinum for real

There was this guy at my school who is a real life version of Josiah, no kidding, wears a trench coat and talks in stupid fucking riddles and monologues, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a manifesto too

There's so many little details both in the jokes and in the themes and writing. I love that the setup is just an edgy kid writing about how nobody understand him, and then as soon as a couple kids he despises read it, they completely understand him and feel the same.

Man, this feels like the EXACT kind of shit I'd have been making in high-school, it's incredible how much this is speaking to what my dumbass fucking friends were all like. What a stellar window into a bygone era of teen dumbassitude!
