At 15:50, wouldn't the 4D bid deny a control in clubs? So partner should not show control in hearts without control in clubs.

I agree! Bidding 4C would be a 1st/2nd round control. Responder could/would cue bid the Heart Control.

It is not wrong to bid 4 clubs first, showing a control. Partner does not have a diamond control, so he would show the heart control if he has it. If Responder has the club A, but not the heart Ace, he will bid 5 clubs over 4 diamonds, and then Opener can settle for 6 spades. However,since the auction is still below the game level, I would show the heart Ace if I had it (as Responder), regardless of which minor suit control Opener shows. You never know what your partner will find to be helpful.

@@RedDirtBridge At least in our partnership we would play it as 4H shows control in BOTH hearts and clubs. Since partner skipped clubs, they don't have control, so if we don't have it either, slam is off.
