Maybe a better question is why do some fans think Luke has chemistry with the Queen? And his tv brother Luke Newton? Why do some fans think he has chemistry with everyone? I’m guessing some are talking about romantic chemistry and some are not. And many are reading way too far into his behavior. In my opinion, he seems like a friendly and caring person who easily gets along well with most people. He seems like a humble and generous teammate on set, willing to take his place and do his job well in this large ensemble cast.

I think sometimes people forget that the characters they are playing, are much younger than the actor themselves. For that reason, it makes sense that the characters are not making what we deem the best decisions. They are still growing up.

I’m not sure why people keep saying they have never been a scene together when they definitely have, they just haven’t spoken to one another in those scenes. Think about it: they both attend most of the balls, and Benedict has watched 3 of his sisters debut in front of the Queen.

😮 interesting. I need to go back and watch Queen Charlotte to understand he backstory better. I do hope they continue casting POCs for the romantic leads. I am hoping to see an East Asian love interest soon. I know the actor who plays Dankworth is, but he’s kind of a minor character and his marriage to Prudence doesn’t seem to be happy.
