This show alone is worth subscribing to HBO. Incredibly funny, heartfelt, and clever!! We need one hour episodes next season. I was raised in England, and I think I love this show so much cause it’s much more like British TV where things are often more real and down to earth. Keep doing what you’re doing. Why do I love this series Somebody Somewhere so much? I've watched the (very short) first season four times. It's because it's funny, full of fucking heart, sad, life affirming. Quirky, odd, and unusual in a completely unforced way. It has songs performed live on camera that tear my heart apart. It’s because it makes me feel that I am every character. The obese woman trying to figure out her life, the dad, just trying to make everybody happy and failing, the gay dude, just trying to be happy, the husband, stinking up the bathroom, the trans-man giving advice and over-tipping uncomfortable waiters, the not-a clue dude returning a farm tool, the Faith & Family wife who is just kidding herself. I love this shit and all of these people.

Hi Katie, Just finished your book, so good. Very well done. I have recommended to everyone I know. My friend lost her husband recently to colon cancer at 40 with two kids at home. Your story is very inspirational. You should be very proud. I think you are awesome.
