Bridget jones sequels were my comfort shows and i used to binge watch all of the sequels every Christmas eve, alone at home. It comforted me so much, that i did that for 5 straight Christmases. I'm devastated when i heard the news that Mr. Darcy died in this new movie, i wish they had kept him alive as he is one of the pivotal characters in the sequel.☹️

For what it's worth, if the movie is anything like the book (fingers crossed), it's a lovely story about Bridget being able to move on for her children and herself. Also, while Daniel Cleaver was a rotten boyfriend, he is the BEST friend a woman could have asked for.

Anyone here for Leo Woodall? Dude’s one of the best up and coming actors of our generation. I saw One Day thinking it would be a chick show but it ended up being one of the best shows and performances I’ve seen. His range from One Day to The White Lotus is so awesome. Glad he’s getting cast more

This is based on Helen Fielding’s real life experience of being widowed. I married my own Mr Darcy around the time of the 2nd Bridget film and he died, so now I’m in my early 40s with a child trying to dip into dating when I can stomach it and it’s hard! It’s nice to have a story that recognises the realities of life and to feel seen as a young widow tbh.

I was bummed at first becoz Mark Darcy won't be in this but they already have their happily ever after. Chances of dying at the same time with your spouse are very slim so this is Bridget trying to live coz the world still spins even after the love of your life died.
