Motorhome Tail Light Replacement with LED || Leaking Tail Lights || Repair water leaking tail light

We discovered a leaking tail light in our THOR ACE EVO Motorhome while changing the bulb. Tony goes through the process of changing out the factory tail lights with after market LED. This is not a how to, but merely a "guide" for self doers".

The clear backup lenses should have been to the inside, with the full red clearly defining the width of the vehicle. Also, if the white lights are illuminating at any time other than when in reverse gear, they are not wired properly and also illegal. (white light on the rear is only permitted for tag and reverse) Another suggestion: Try using spar-urethane on the wood in lieu of epoxy. (25-year LEO and retired Florida State Trooper)

Very good points you make! Didn't even realize the legality of having them positioned in an incorrect way. I guess it would take a trooper to notice. I would have never known its illegal. I guess I'll be fixing that before the next road trip. Appreciate your commment and thanks for your civil service.👍

go to: bridgeviewadventures.com/attachments there is a download for wiring. it's the best picture i could find. the best way to do it is to cut wiring into 18" lengths with alligator clips on the ends. keep connecting the wires together until you get the results you want....test, test, test then connect them permanent

I'm having tail light issues. It was hard for me to follow along because of the camera movements back and forth, and the close up shots!!

With a repair like this use MinWax hardener after the wood has dried. Use Dicor to seal around the light without using the gasket that comes with the light - not thick enough or compliant enough to match the surface.
