We are so amazed to see your life on a boat in a Hurricane. I'm so shocked about all the flooding north of us. The death toll has been rising as well. We were raised in farm country in the middle of Nebraska. Then lived in California for a while. The fires were so scary there and it was too fast-paced for us. We now live in NC and are still not used to the culture. The Hurricanes are truly scary and the wind is the part I don't like. But we found out we are not in a flood plain so we made it through with less storm damage than in many parts of the state. Glad you guys are safe and sound in your sweet little houseboat. Hope that makes sense.

I'm in Mooresville on Lake Norman and it honestly got pretty intense at some points throughout the night! we experienced some of the strongest winds that we've had since I moved here in 1992, and several trees fell on the powerlines and we lost power. The trees blocked the only road in and out of our neighborhood, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it meant that we were one of the first areas to have our power restored! So now we're cleaning up all the branches and trees that fell, but at least we have power again!

I remember houses almost washed away on Wilson's Creek. This time is worse though. Colletsville and the tree farms there are underwater. I knew a couple people up on the Creek and I am sure their homes are gone. They never left before for floods and I am worried about them. I just found your channel. I am so happy that you’re safe. I have always loved floating houses. I would love to be surrounded by water instead of people. 💗

Just stumbled on your channel. I am in Jersey and was checking videos to see damage. Really cool watching this house on the water and seeing you doing the chores needed to survive. So happy you are both well and no damage from Helene. I subscribed. Will check back again soon. Peace out kids! Billy A from Sparta.

@@KeepingAfloatWiththeJoneses Fam are also Joneses, originally from Wales. I found your vids refreshing... spot on. We were following some yatch vids (thar chk ever so often) and saw the misery and dangers of the Pacific and Atlantic. The Attitcus left from the South West of Florida for Reede Park, mid GA. w/ Helene about to make landfall. Not good. I told my wife what you are doing is what they are missing. I also thought they'd be better off getting a cabin in the woods and "build sonething". When I saw your vids I stated, "That it!" I was impressed and related to your going out in the rain to tend to the other's water cabins/ while your's is a "home" (a place of rest). I thought you vids excelente and appropriate to show my grandson, back to building. So I started at the beginning... I told Ms. Jo (my wife) after dealing with the complexity of folks I found your vids "restful". I'm glad the Father is blessing you. "So Others May Live". When I heard your banjo, I thought mountain, blue grass, country instrumental hymns music would be fine... origins in Scotland.

The marina was an absolute godsend to everybody at the furry takeover event just at Fontana Dam Resort! Thank you guys for helping us out and letting us hang at your picnic tables while we gathering information and tried to locate people who were planning on coming up and letting them know we are safe but to avoid the area. From us Furries, we thank you! P.s. the Slushies were great!
