Tyler's singing is very intentional. He's said in multiple that he knows he isn't the greatest singer, but he sings anyway because it's raw and sincere. Nowaday's it isn't about "how good you can sing" and being a technically proficient singer, but rather the emotion you can convey with your voice. Something Tyler does very well when he "sings"

just to make the storyline clear, for if yall dont know it, Igor is the symbolization of the character igor who was dumb and followed his master no matter what. Thats how tyler feels abt his love interest, thats why the track puppet. Tyler also think he cannot live without his love interest, thats why the DONT LEAVE on earfquake. A quick summary: Tyler is in a love interest, where his crush says he likes him, but has a secret girlfriend, thats why the line "Why the f*ck you're ex here?". Tyler thinks he will always fall in love with this guy again over and over, making the album a loop.

I love Igor because it depicts how someone can become a 'monster' for love, from trying to sing romantic songs (even Dad noticed how he tried to sound melodic but it doesn't get it right), being desperate, to becoming a total psycho, throwing everything off, feeling regret and then trying one last time to save the bond + everything looping perfectly, damn One of those albums that the more you listen to it, the better it sounds

Honestly this album is a grower. The first time I heard this album I only liked Earfquake and I Think. But recently my music taste started to evolve and I decided to give this album another chance. It’s a heart break album but seeing him perform it live changed the energy of the whole album and THATS what made me love this album as a whole. P.S. I feel like dad was pretty spot on with the album being about creativity and artistry. In an interview of Tyler's he mentioned that he loves making "moments" in his music/production meaning he likes to make certain parts of the track only appear once or for just a few bars instead of looping it to make those moments more meaningful. He does it a lot throughout this project and I think this album is definitely a grower, I wasn't super fond of it on release but now I love listening to it all the way through with no skips.

Igor isn’t about songs that are meant to make the playlist. Tyler listed very specific instructions that you listen to songs in order all together because it’s an over arching story. You don’t just randomly pick a song and put it on the playlist. It’s supposed to consume this together. The album is a package deal. 1:03:24

ok, if you want some insight about this album, its a love triangle, with tyler liking this guy, and a girl liking this guy. And its a whole lotta emotions he goes through, from start to end, like crushing on him, and thinking he needs to convey his love fast before he gets taken, and panicking about what to do, thinks of killing the girl who was being the hurdle for him, realising that he is a puppet to him because he influences his well being so much, he gives in, ultimately realises this is not good for him, says goodbye to the love, and lastly , thinks that its better to have him as a friend than to not having him at all...and thats how the album ends, but there is musical technicality, which makes this album a loop. So the synth which ends the last song is actually incomplete and doesnt finish the song musically, but the synth in the first song of the album completes it, making it a loop. which means that, if he remains friends with this guy, he may have to go through all of this again because being around him may light the feelings back.

14:32 When your dad pointed out that Charlie Wilson should’ve had a more prominent role in Earthquake, because they payed a lot of money to feature him, I get it from a financial point of view. But I think if you listen to the Vinyl/ CD version of the song, you listen to the hidden track Boyfriend, which features Charlie Wilson as well and highlights his vocals more. I think for that track Tyler gave him more room and you can listen to the classic Charlie Wilson runs. I think in General that Tyler didn’t stretch it too much with the features, because it wouldn’t quite fit with the caricature of Igor.
