Forest Hill Drive doesn't get enough respect in the Rap world. I think most people treat this album as "Just a Good Album." But I honestly think it's one of the best Albums that come off last decade.
@Scratch2C2 жыл бұрын
Forest Hills made me a Cole fan. His previous work was just not at this level yet. He had shown glimpses but not yet. This is a top tier album. Production , Lyrical content, Progression, Variety and overall theme. This album was a real turning point I remember Big Sean dropping I Decided couple years after this and seeing his music mature in a similar manner.

the best thing about the Album is all the production is soo clean. i remember seeing in the doc that like 1 hr before the album had to be submitted he was cycling (exaclty the moment in the intro music video) he stops the whole shoot and calls up his engineer to sort a certain placement of adlibs and clean up some sound. just shows how much detail he put into this project.
@user-ds5lf3he3x2 жыл бұрын
I think the story was that the explicit version of wet dreamz or one of the songs had the inexplicit adlibs and so that's what made him stop to call and say to add the explicit adlibs (maybe vice versa.) and fix it. But yes for the most part you are correct
