I'm a huge fan of cheese and crackers, too. I like semi-homemade ones that I make from scratch - cheddar or marble cheese from the local deli and crackers (especially sesame or pretzel crackers) from the dollar store. Your husband definitely turned you on to a new meal since you never grew up on mac and cheese. Here in the States, it's a staple that's served in restaurants, pubs and diners. We even have them in frozen TV dinners that you can even buy at the dollar store, especially with pasta shaped like little wheels or even spiral pasta. It's actually a quick and cheap meal, especially when you're constantly on the go like I am. I love it. One of my faves. Most of us Americans have eaten it like all our lives.

Hello Brieana, It's nice to see what you get to eat on your airline. You know me from my comments always asking about what you served and the aircraft you fly on. Sorry to hear about the pastry you left onboard your other flight, it happens to us all. We live a remarkable life with the ability to fly to any destination just for a particular food. I have roommates that will fly to Ireland just to buy some butter or fly to France or Italy just to have dinner at their favorite restaurant. I looked this up on Amazon in the U.S. it's just the words I used to search for an item. ' hotel door alarm for travelers' it gave me a ton of different types of alarms that you can use for your door so that you will actually know if someone is trying to get into your room. I hope that you will be able to find something that can put your mind to rest. Happy Flying....

I’m from Melbourne but my sister lives in Sydney and I’ve spent a lot of time there. Trust me, it’s such a beautiful place to visit but living there is a different experience entirely. Melbourne is much easier. I was thinking when you showed the pastry in the hotel room “eat it now, eat it now!”. I didn’t think it would fare well on the flight. Someone is going to get a nice surprise when they open up that fridge. 🤣

Bree, I can tell you're as bad as me with beating the alarm to get ready for work! Why do we do that, haha? I went to Sydney last year for the 1st time (!) for the opening of 'Hamilton', I was amazed at how great the trains & light rail is without having to get an Opal card. Cool thing is that Brisbane is also trialling this and phasing out the Go Cards, not sure of the timeframe though. Lucky you in Melbourne though, with the free trams around the city- I know because I was in Melbourne a few months back for - you guessed it- more Hamilton, haha!

@@BrieanaYoung So, it appears as if your bag kept your meal warm! When I was young, my mom never prepared and served Mac & Cheese either. Today, I make it occasionally! I just make a traditional cheese sauce like for dipping tortilla chips. Then, I add pasta and other cool treats inside like bacon? mushrooms?, broccoli? lobster? hot peppers? I cover the whole thing with lots and lots of cheese and bake. Tip #1 - The sauce will thicken during baking so you should plan for that ie. by adding more milk!
