Back in 2015 i fell in love with this song for the first time and made an austrian dialect version of it. What is so fascinating for me about this music is the fact that it sounds so familiar and in a way viennese to me, even though it has crystal clear American folk roots, which i love anyways.
Especially during this period of time where we are all forced to stay where we are and are not able to see any of our loved ones - besides the ones we are sharing our home with - and are far away from being able to travel the world, this song about our longings and desires seems to fit in this phase of time more than ever.
