Brief History of Old Karachi - Story of Partition 1947

The present city of Karachi was reputedly founded as "Kolachi" by Baloch tribes from Makran, Balochistan, who established a small fishing community in the area. Descendants of the original community still live in the area on the small island of Abdullah Goth, which is located near the Karachi Port.

1947ءپاکستان جب دنیا کے نقشے پر ابھرا تو میری عمر 9 سال تھی انڈیا تقسیم کے بعد ہم مشرقی پنجاب سے ہجرت کرکے کراچی آکر سولجر بازار علاقے میں واقع ایک کرائے کے مکان میں مقیم ہوئے بہت صاف ستھرا شہر تھا پورے کراچی شہر میں ایسٹ انڈیا ٹرام وے کمپنی کی طرف سے شھر کراچی میں ایک جگہ سے دوسری جگہ جانے کے لئے سہولیات میسر تھیں برٹش دور کی یہ ٹرامیں ایک مقامی کمپنی محمد علی ٹرام وے کمپنی نے خرید لی جو کچھ عرصہ بعد اختتام پذیر ہوئی اس کے بعد کئی ٹرانسپورٹ کے منصوبے آئے اور گئے لیکن کامیاب نہ ہو سکے
