I'm really shocked how small your channel is. This was an excellent video. Thank you for the time and effort you clearly put into it.

Great video!! It was really neutral on political perspective, which it's difficult to come across

thank you. I did it as neutrally as possible. Which of course means I regularly get people complaining about its accuracy by partisans. So I appreciate your comment.

I remember the sound of the people hitting metal spoons on pots here in Chile in 2019 protests.Many streets flooded by peaceful protesters ,and at night many barricades made of any object burning below the streetlights.

This type of revolution could be replicated by nationalizing data profits. That information is essentially a human resource and shouldn't be able to be monopolized like oil etc could be a prevailing idea. This successful revolution will not be as hard as not having it would be..

With allende we would had had a second cuba here in Chile... the economic crisis and the socialist model that made Venezuela what it is today. Look what it is doing in Argentina... the free market values have made chile what it is today. Mostly because of the United States support.
@yisuselgarza34962 жыл бұрын
Eeeh... Are you aware that Allende's economic crisis was false and fabricated since the CIA, the world bank and the conspiracy of Chilean businessmen was what depleted the country? There are mountains of documents from the SAME CIA and witnesses that prove the crisis was faked and orchestrated. If it weren't for Nixon and the Chilean businessmen and their "paranoia" for an alleged massacre (plan z, which was corroborated, was an invention of the regime after coming to power and justifying the genocide that the state put together) that was and still today there are people that I defend what happened, as if in Germany Hitler was celebrated today because he "raised the economy" in the 30s... Hahahaha Obviously someone who did not suffer repression or whose family was not destroyed by the regime only sees "the economic" to justify the bloodbath...
@yisuselgarza34962 жыл бұрын
And another thing: look how the video begins, Chile has a very different CULTURE and HISTORY from the rest of our neighbors. Assuming that the same thing happened (being that he came to power with democracy and not by armed means... As if the Chilean right did) is very wrong and false, it is like when from Alwain to now President Boric, according to the Right, ALL and absolutely ALL the presidents who have been elected to date were going to lead us to be "Cuba" or "Chilezuela"... And here we are, STILL being the most focused, rich and stable country in the region and everyone takes us as an example...

Fr it would have been horrible. Although my Father has horrible memories of the dictatorship, he still believes that the outcome of such polices that fixed the destructive government of Allende has led to what the country is today. Of course he still critiques the inequality that decays the nation he remains hopeful that the country can strive.

You are misrepresenting the new constitution. Most the people who were involved and Drafting and setting up that new constitution were socialist communists. And the new constitution was nothing more than a Christmas wish list for socialism. It had no economic side to it in order to improve the lot of Chileans. And you conveniently left out the 2019 riots were these young protesters who are willfully ignorant of Chilean history and are socialists tortilla part. I have been in Chile for the past 5 and 1/2 years because I am married to a Chilean woman and stuck here during covid and so I have been here through all of this including the riots. These people who were supposed to be for the people burnt down churches, killed many people, caught police officers on fire with gasoline, destroyed stores where poor people shop, destroyed buses and trains where poor people were able to catch a ride to work, and Far Far More. These young socialists did nothing but damage and harm the poor of this country and the progressive communist woke politicians used that in order to try to get this new constitution, a socialist Constitution passed. Well it failed miserably in the country did not pass it. Yes they elected a communist president but they did not pass the Socialist Communist new constitution Christmas wish list. The people want to Constitution that are going to give them freedoms and rights and enable them to have true democracy and capitalism to improve their country. Capitalism has been the only form of government to lift the world out of poverty. However capitalism is like a hammer. A hammer is a beautiful tool that is made pal nails and a board. If used appropriately it is a perfect tool for the job that it is signed and will serve you well. However the moment somebody picks up the hammer it starts to beat somebody in the head with it, it is no longer the perfect tool and is being misused and abused. It is not the Hammer's fault but rather is the Fault of the person using the hammer. Chili has been a democratic capitalist society that had lots of success in comparison to other South American countries. However those politician using the capitalism of the Chilean government misused and abused the capitalism which has created a chasm between the rich and the poor. Minimum wage in Chile is $2 an hour. That is slave wages in a capitalist Society. Opportunities for the poor are not really available. Generally speaking unless a young person goes to the university they cannot even have a job in the blue collar working sectors such as stores and grocery stores because they only hire young people who are in the universities. The country has a lot of issues and no politician is really trying to solve the problems. This country has a hard-working class with great moral values other than those young socialists who decide to destroy the country. This country is perfectly situated up and down the coast of the ocean and protected by the mountains with an extremely low crime rate. It is the perfect place for any large corporation in the world who would like to set up their business here and make products and ship them throughout the world. Why the Chilean government does not invite big businesses here and give them a 20 to 30 year tax break and make it extremely easy for them to set up their business is beyond me. First they would get tax from the workers and they would get money made out of the country spent in the country. And they would have tens of thousands of unemployed people who would now be workers and not a burden on society. The only thing they need to do is allow law enforcement to clean up the country. When you drive through the country you feel like you are in Warsaw Mexico some drug cartel place because of all of the graffiti that is absolutely everywhere. If you clean up the country and invite the big businesses in they will come because there are many benefits to having their business here. But as I said either the people at the top of the country are as stupid as a box of rocks or they really don't care.

The video was published right after the vote to have a constitution and long before the drafters were elected. There’s no misrepresentation.
