At time 11:44 > 12:39, you speak about using an additional reflection intensity map, giving the ability to be able to control the reflection intensity right down to black. That you are using an added map to achieve this. Perhaps I have misunderstood entirely, but if I understand correctly, this is not a new or difficult thing to achieve. Adding additional layers to overcome texturing limitations is something explored for the original IL-2 1946 for some years. The method of layering additional maps is demonstrated in the 109 CoD cockpit import to original IL-2 1946. In this, you can see the reflective intensity of the gauge glass is set to very low. Although for this method it's using added poly layers, making it an unorthodox & inefficient approach, it still achieves the results you speak of. I wouldn't say it is unique to the current 1C dev team to explore such methods to achieve desired results.

Very interesting interview, gives a good understanding about the aproach and process of the 3d art and its use. Very nice damage model and hitboxes. This will bring a lot of immersion and spectacular szenes to watch.

Question: Will both Il-2 great battles and Il-2 Korea added long range drop tanks for the fighters?

For Korea drop tanks - must have - while these tanks are the part of basic equipment of some of the planes there. In GB drop tanks are not realy needed in 95% of combat scenarios. Only Operation Bodenplatte raids is realy suffering because they're missing. Adding drop tanks in GB for dosens of airplanes with refactoring of their fuel systems is a very volumed task. In Korea everything developing from scratch about that - so its much easier to add drop tanks there.

I’m a native English speaker, but I can’t stand the horrible AI voices. I would much rather hear it in Russian with subtitles! I very much want to watch your development videos, but it’s just too much and muting it is no fun either.

@@Raben3721 Korea does not affect Great Battles development, its going in parallel. FC will be released when airplanes 3D models will be done for it, and they developed not by the team who developing Korea models. So please - avoid such unnecessary conspiracy theories )) Anyway, FC coming soon. By the way, we have not set Preorder for FC-4, so we do not do any bad business because of delays here.
