Another amazing video essay! I love the longer form of this one. Particularly because Brienne's life thus far requires it if you're even gonna tell her story. Well done!

Thank you so much! And yes, I wanted to make sure I did Brienne and her story justice.

Brienne and Arya are similar characters (and even have a memorable sparring match in the show). Both reject the traditional female role of Westerosi nobility and forge their own identities as warriors. And both had at least some support from their fathers. Ned hired Syrio to teach Arya how to use her sword and Brienne’s father allows her to train as a knight.

Stannis is one of my favorites so I do want to make a video on him soon. That being said, there's a lot to talk about there and I haven't started anything yet. Hopefully soon though!

One of my favorite Brienne chapters is when she confesses herself to Meribald, telling us about her life, her insecurities and on. A great chapter that allowed us to understand Brienne, sympathize even more towards her, and make her more relatable than ever before. What a great but sad but cathartic chapter. Such a shame the tv show skipped a great Brienne moment. But, yeah. My favorite Brienne chapter, is when she and Meribald discuss war and the broken men. Such an amazing chapter.

The art is quinn the gm right?

I don't believe so. He might use the same art in his videos, but I get most of the art off the wiki, and it's credited to various different people.

Now that I’m reading the books and am well past Renly’s death, I can’t help but wonder why they chose to make Renly and Loras gay lovers in the show. Neither character is ever hinted at being gay in the books.

Why do you think Renly’s Kingsguard was called The Rainbowguard?
