One thing that I like about the Hound is that Unlike Littlefinger, Walder Frey, Roose Bolton, or even Olenna If he wants to kill you, he will kill you. He will never pretend to be your friend.

Love your videos❤❤❤ I really enjoyed this one. I think the Hound has the protective attitude towards Stark sisters because his own was allegedly killed by the Mountain.

We never really get any sort of detail about her. I can't imagine whatever happened to her was nice. Maybe she was poor Sandors only friend. She wasn't in the way of succession. She wasn't a threat to Gregor in any way shape or form. There is no "nice" reason he did it. Maybe that's why Sandor doesn't ever talk about it. It hurts too much. What Gregor did and for why is too much to stomach. He opened up about his own hurts and that is such a traumatizing story itself. I wouldn't want to think of her either in that case.

He was protective of Sansa and Arya because he loved his little sister who was killed by Gregor. He has unresolved issues because he couldn’t protect his sister. So those feelings are transferred onto the Stark sisters

He wasnt able to protect his sister, his mother, his father, or even himself when he was young...

That is never really implied, he said he can't remember his sister. His care for Sansa is because they are idealistic people, there is a lott of focus on knighthood and what it is. Sandor has a lott of respect for the idealistic image of a knight (he sees himself as not worthy of it) but at the same time life he has gotten disillusioned by the harshness of the world. Him protecting Sansa is partially him protecting a childish version of himself that still belives in idealism and songs. The tragic part is Sansa she only grasps his good intentions once he is gone. Arya is different in a sense, he kidnaps her and defends her because he has not much else to do and she is a easy way to earn a ransom. Sandor genuinely starts to care for her through her hardships.

He is my all time favorite. I hope when Martin finishes the books we will get more of him. I was utterly disappointed how the show butchered his character arc...

There’s more to his protectiveness for Sansa, especially as it’s noted that Joffrey sees Sandor as a “father figure”, and emulates his cruelty. When Sandor realizes that Joffrey, an extension of his cruelty, is repeating the cycles of abuse he endured as a child, he goes haywire. He realized Joffrey isn’t him, but Gregor- even the father’s dying in “hunting accidents” (foul play). His love for Sansa- no matter how repressed or bizarrely juxtaposed- is the final straw to his escape.
