¼ bar Refrigerated Margarine
½ cup plus 2 tbsp Casa Bamvina Premium Cocoa Powder
¾ cup Bakersfield Chocolate Chips
(Semi sweet or Dark)

1. Pour condensed milk into a Non-stick pan, add cocoa powder.
Using spatula or wire whisk, Mix until smooth.
2. Bring the pan to the stove and heat it over medium-low heat.
3.Cook it, mixing constantly (this is important, otherwise it will burn!)
4. Add margarine
5. Add chocolate chips
6. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes very thick and starts to pull away from the bottom and sides of the pan. About 10 to 12 minutes.
A way to know is to run your wooden spoon (or spatula) in the middle of the mixture. If it takes a while for the mixture to move, then your brigadeiro is ready. The mixture should be like soft tootsie roll
7. Remove from heat and pour into greased plate or bowl. Let cool for 1 hour at room temperature. You may have it refrigerated as needed.
8. Grease your hands with margarine and shape the chocolate dough into small balls. Then, roll in topping/coating of your choice.
Use ½ table spoon for every ball
1 recipe yields 48 Balls, enough for 3 heart-shaped canister.
