T bone, you make it look so easy. If had carted that start up attempt of the engine, I would had it chasing me around the shop breaking everything.

Another mistake you DIY folks want to avoid is to put a dry rubber seal against a dry shaft. The seal will wear out prematurely, especially on the oil seals at the end of vehicle axles which often have 2 sealing surfaces. Make sure the axle has oil on it at the outer end, where the oil seal rides as you slip it into the differential spline. Wipe a little oil on the axle and on the rubber seal. If the tag on the differential says use synthetic gear oil, do NOT fill it with stinky crude oil based gear oil.

How much did it cost u to rebuild the engine T Bone??? How much would it cost a Customer if u had to rebuild the engine exactly what u dix to this one ??? U dont have to give exact figures if u don't want to mate TBone
@RaleysSmallEngines19 күн бұрын
Personally I spent about $100 bucks. Huge difference if i did it for a customer. The entire thing would have been cleaned like new and every spec checked. So so much more time involved that I would have suggested to them to replace the engine.
