Indigenous Australian Rapper, Briggs talks about the disadvantage his family faced in the 1980s, and the racist trolling he faces online every day.
Lisa Horan asked: As a descendant of what you might call a traditional white Australia, my Celtic ancestors were abused & dispossessed by the same people that dispossessed Indigenous Australians - in this we share some common ground.
I support the teaching of indigenous history as mainstream in all Australian schools, changes to the flag & the national anthem, but NOT changing Australia Day. Why can't we ever seem to build on our common ground & move forward together?
