Suzy Lu reacts to My Hero Academia season 4. The season picks up where Season 3 ended with the introduction of The Big 3, and the Hero Work-Studies program being extended to the first years. It follows Izuku, Ochaco, Tsuyu, Eijiro with third years Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki participation in the Work Studies and Shie Hassaikai Raid with their respective assigned Hero Agency.

Yeah, that would have sort of been like them using her in the same way Chisaki did. Sure, it's for a good cause but it would still put a whole lot of pressure onto her.

Plus she didn't seem conscious, and seemed very sick because of expending so much power. It would probably not have been very good for her to try in that condition even if she WERE awake.

One thing you may have forgotten is that Eri does not have control of her power at this point. So even if they were able to get Nighteye to Eri there is no guarantee that he would even be alive because she could very well have rewound Nighteye before he even was alive

You really can't expect them to let eri do this, the already traumatized girl who's been called a monster for all of her life and accidentally killed her father when she first unlocked her quirk. Heros wouldn't force her to use her powers she can't control and doesn't want to use on someone who she believes she is at fault for their injury, much less when there is the possibility she may return nighteye into being a fetus, or into nothingness.

@@Aron_Marie True. She basically had no idea how her quirk works fully. She might have an idea now, but She's like Midoriya the first time he used OFA. She could use her quirk, but couldn't control it. Chances are she could really make Nighteye disappear than just healing him.

Yeah, even in the source material, Nighteye's demise hit me pretty hard. Still, I highly doubt Eri would have been such an ideal solution in this situation..... her emotional state is already fragile enough as is, and her lack of control over her quirk makes things way too risky, even with Aizawa on standby. No, I think this was simply meant to be in the end, as sad as this was.... On a lighter note, a fun fact: In the manga, during Shigaraki's attack on the police van, it's revealed that Spinner learned to drive from playing Grand Theft Auto games, lol.

It's not as simple as using her power to revert his injuries and save his life. Her power is dangerous and unstable. While they could have aizawa on standby to hopefully keep it in check, there are too many variables and unknowns at play to make it safe to use her power right now. Also, think how it would affect her as well. She fears and hates her own power, and rightly so. Up until now, she has been used for her power by everyone around her. It wouldn't be right for them to try and force her to use her power to save night-eye. At that point they wouldn't be any better then overhaul. And there is no way she would willingly use it because of her fear of it. As sad as it was to lose night-eye, I agree with their choice to not attempt using her power to save him. I think it was the correct choice, both strategically and morally, to hold off on using her power until she has recovered from her mental trauma and learned to better control it.

Eri would not have been able to help. She has no control of her quirk, remember? She can’t just activate it on command. They could force her to do it, but that’s not how they are.

As Eri is now, in quarantine and under observation, and the fact that she can't control her powers, they can't have her try to heal nighteye, it would only put Nighteye's remaining life in danger, it could also be highly dangerous for anyone that stays behind with her while she tries to revert his injuries, plus cause of her panic and hurry, she might instantly revert him fully, maybe even the other people that stay in the room

In the contrary, the Old Man is actually A GOOD Guy. He knew the boundaries the Yakuza's should never cross. Just like how he is lecturing Chizaki. He doesn't want him to be involved with drugs even though it's pretty normal for Yakuza's to be involved to such things. The old man only wants the best for him and his grand daughter, Eri. The sole reason he is in the hospital bed was because he is against Chizaki wants.

Just to point out: the reason they only had one hero transporting the villain to a villain hospital is because with the advent of All Might retiring, heroes are essentially short staffed. They're picking up the slack from All Might's absence. Especially since villains have been spurred into action BECAUSE of his retirement, that means there's more crime happening. Right now, there's no "Symbol of Peace" which used to keep most forms of (albeit petty) crime in check. That was kind of the entire point of the sleep deprived man's speech during the licensing exam. They're trying to boost the number of heroes, so they didn't actually have anyone truly fail. And as others have said: Eri can't actually control her quirk; so she can't activate it consciously either. Setting aside the fact that she's broken from Chisaki's mental abuse, even if she wanted to help she wouldn't be able to.

Even if she wasn't sick and quarantined, using her like that would be no different than how she was being used by the villains, something the heroes definitely wouldn't do at all IMO

This is probably the saddest moment of S4, but it's not the last tear jerking moment. I know a lot of people complained that the animation wasn't up to par compared to the previous seasons, but people found out quickly that they were saving the budget for the last couple of episodes.

14:16 asking a kid who’s been traumatised, abused and broken mentally as well as has no control over her power is the equivalent of writing a suicide note. Cause once she starts, she can’t stop, once Deku stopped using OFA at 100%, the effects really started hitting him hard and the only off switch at the moment is Aizawa

I was amazed when I first saw this episode at how they handled showing that Nighteye died. Instead of the cliche heart monitor beeping, they literally showed the light bleeding out of his eyes and turning dark. It was so much more heart wrenching that way.

Eri's powers seem highly dependent on her emotions at this point. She seems just as incapable of turning them on as she is of turning them off. She wasn't actively doing anything during the battle, she was just clinging to Midoriya for dear life, and her powers happened to be turned on at the time. I could be wrong on this, I've not seen season 5 yet, nor have I read the manga, but that was my assumption.

Here's some facts that I learned about this episode. Mirio and Nighteye's VAs actually cried when they recorded this episode. Nighteye's VA didn't know until he recorded, and ran into Mirio's VA outside the booth and the two cried. Overhaul's VA, Kellen Goff, said he had to go into a dark place for that scream when the League was walking away from him.

I feel like (and I know it's a stretch but I'm just theorizing here) nighteye's vision of deku was actually right, see at the end of his vision he couldn't see deku just a splatter of blood making him think he died but I believe that since nighteye was hurt badly he didn't really have much strength to see any more of his vision of deku....it wasn't the full thing and so he assumed that deku was gonna die in that instant so I'm not entirely convinced that deku per say changed his future more of put it into course

I like both dub and sub and have watched tons of reactions to both version... same goes for other Animes I like.... in the dub Tamaki has the same VA as Senku from Dr. Stone and now ALL I can hear when Tamaki talks (because I haven't seen the MHA dub in a little while) is Senku, which is super funny and kind of annoying, because the characters are SO different 😅🤣🤣

Again, I would throw Eri and deku to nighteye like a sack of potatoes. Also, I think they didn't show it in the anime, but in the manga is implicit that chisaki's last scream isn't from frustration or being quirckless, but because now he can't repair the old man. Also, the old man isn't good (he is a Yakuza after all), but he wasn't exactly bad: the order was to figure out what's the quirck of Eri and what it does. It was chisaki who decided to play operation with her to find it out...
