Chisaki's scream after he lost his arms came from his realization that he won't be able to "fix" his father without his quirk. So his dad will be bed-ridden for the rest of his life because of him when all he was trying to do was "help" him.

People keep saying that, but it's just not true. Chisaki was using the head of the gang (who is not his dad) as an excuse to do what he wanted. If he really loved and respected the old man he wouldn't have put him in he coma to begin with. His screaming and crying was because of his own loss. He was screaming about the loss of his quirk and his work. He didn't give a shit about the old man.

This was a big gangsta moment for the League of Villains. Great brutal character development for Tomura. I think it's ok to feel a small ounce of sympathy for Chisaki. As long as one doesn't try to justify his horrible actions.

Chisaki had an abusive mindset of "I know what's right for you" toward his father figure. Aizawa apologised because he couldn't help Deku during the big showdown, not for stopping Eri's Quirk. Iirc, the big scar is from the surgery after he pulverized his bones fighting Muscular (1 million % OFA). Eri only rewound the injuries he sustained during his fight with Overhaul, but not previous stuff. Nighteye's passing is devastating, but pour one out for Sand Hero: Snatch as well.

I always saw Aizawa's apology as an "your body might get broken all over if I just shut this quirk off", but it could be for the whole situation as well, I guess.

11:03 Overhaul did horribly, inexcusable things, but that scream was pain. The pain of knowing that he cannot turn the one he considers his father, the most important person in his life, back to healthy, the pain of knowing that he is the one who put him in a comatose state, now probably without return. 11:11 Not how he said "other than your arm" - the grave injuries to Deku's arms were not healed, he wasn't rewound that much. Essentially it was probably only the injuries from the raid that were rewound before Deku realised what was going on - from that point onwards, Deku used 100%, essentially breaking his bones with every move only for them to be instantly rewound before he can even notice - meaning he used that damage to not get rewound further.

The bullets Chisaki had in the case were the Finalized versions of the quirk erasing bullets. Which Shigaraki now has in his possession along with the cure bullets. The version that Suneater got hit by in earlier episodes was only a prototype.

Overhaul thought of most of his minions as useless pawns. Shigaraki thought of the League as a reliable group he could count on. He's learning as he encounters more people. Stain taught him that using other forces as stepping stones was valuable. Izuku reminded him of what his conviction was. Overhaul taught him the importance of patience. As he moves through the series, he grows as a villain. The League isn't one to be messed with. Next, it's their turn.

Imagine the story ends with Deku dying at Shigarakis hands and the usual opening changes to "You thought this was a hero story? It's not. This is the story how I became the greatest villain."

We start the arc with Overhaul killing Magne, which prompt us to finally see a huge growth in Shigaraki's and the actual genuine connection he now has with his peers, childlike-tantrum-throwing Shigaraki from seasons 1 and 2 would never act as smart as he did on this arc. And we end the arc with Nighteye dying due to Overhaul's attack as well, which finally give us a taste of how we are reaching a point of the story in which we should be more afraid of losing lives. It's the first arc that actual features deaths of named characters (Stain killed one of the Nomus and every other death happened on flashbacks), one death for the villains and one death for the heroes. I don't know if anyone commented yet here but Overhaul scream at the end was due to no longer being able to use his quirk, since he lost both hands, therefore he will never be able to save his father. Some people tend to miss this and just think his screaming from pain and/or from losing his bullet projects. I don't feel sorry for him, but it does hurt to see that realization on his face that the former Yakuza boss won't be ablr to be fixed, you can tell Chisaki trully loves him and only was doing what his twisted mind thought was best to repay him for taking him over and treating like his own.

Mirio's English VA, his lines this episode as well, destroyed me. "Everything I am now is because of you! Please don't leave me, I'm not ready..." Omg I'm tearing up just thinking about it. I think Nighteye's story and death is a lot about regret. Nighteye not believing in change hard enough. All Might not going to see him because he felt ashamed. Nighteye only realizing now that Mirio, someone he continued to raise despite All Might, became his pride and joy. Aaaa it hurts

Aizawa is apologizing both because Deku wasn't even supposed to be there and he'd promised to stick with him. He told his students before the fight that if the League of Villains showed up, the students were going to fall back. But they don't do that: Rock Lock yells at them to just go instead of trying to figure out what to do about the league first and Aizawa decides not to tell Deku to stay back. Then of course he gets nabbed and can't help him during his fight with Overhaul. Side note: I am now sad because I just realized that had these fights gone differently, we could have seen Aizawa fighting along side his students and that would have been AWESOME.

One reason why they couldn't use Eri to 'heal' Night Eye or other people was because her quirk is an unknown factor. Overhaul mentioned it could revert humans into monkeys, fetuses, and remove their quirks. Deku proved Eri could heal his injuries. But since she has no control, it's possible she could have turned Night Eye into a monkey or worse, in just a split second, right before he died 😥

I remember so vividly watching this scene with Nighteye. I cried so hard at his loss, and I still tear up every time I watch this episode. He’s also one of my friends favorite characters in the show, and to this day my friend won’t admit that he’s dead, he just says “Nighteye is just on vacation, he’s fine”

12:48 A thing I caught recently (that I didn't see the first time watching this episode) was that they had to cut off nighteye's left arm I literally didn't even pay attention to it and all honesty forgot his arm got hit by one of the spikes too and it all blows my mind even more

I actually think Nighteye didn't see into the future when he looked at Togata, I think it was just encouragement. He has a limit on how often he can use his quirk.

This is one of the best arcs imo. Chisaki is the superior version of Tomura at this point in time but got unlucky having best heroes and villains gunning for him at same time. Nighteye is such a great character because he is never established as most like able character. But consistently is stern and strict because he wants whats best for everyone. Unlike an Endeavor who has similar personality, Nighteye personality is born to help others while Endeavor is out for personal glory. Meaning he has always been a good person.

You know what's the most fucked up part about what happened to Overhaul? It's the fact that he didn't even lose his quirk. He lost his ability to USE his quirk. Like he still has it, but good luck using it without being able to touch. So it's not like how Eri does it, Mr Compress and Shigraki did it in a more messed up way.

It sounds like you missed it, but the sand hero Snatch was killed in that fight. He was trapped in the marble among with a bunch of Dabi's fire. So he burned to death inside the marble.

Also, Snatch is dead. He got cut in half when Dabi was keeping his upper body on top of his sand with his flames and Compress used his marbles to finish him.

I never understood why they didn't bring Nighteye to Eri after Deku won. As soon as Deku mentioned his wounds were healed my first thought was run by everyone who's injured and get a quick instant heal.

She might have killed everyone in the process. And if they waited to bring everyone to her, to get healed, Deku would have been killed. So using EraserHead's quirk was the best solution.

She subconsciously activated her quirk in the battle with Overhaul. She has no control of her quirk at this point and couldn’t turn it on or off at will. If Aizawa didn’t erase her quirk Deku would’ve kept rewinding until he disappeared.

Using a power they can’t control and don’t know the limits off on an critically injured person is the worst thing they could’ve done. That’s why they brought in Recovery Girl who could attempt an immediate medical care.
