the music direction of Knives's theme is extremely perfect, he sees himself as the savior and hero in his ambitions so while you see the intense carnage of killing people it is heavenly and not somber. It's also a very bold decision to show Knives this early as in the 1998 anime we only see adult Knives in the last few episodes to keep the mystery of who he is there but now it's the opposite which is great when putting in a new direction of the story

Really? I thought the last episode made the whole damn show. I was kind of on board until the last episode and it made the whole entire show make tons more sense and I saw meaning behind what they did. I thought the last episode was so good that it made the whole entire season 10 times better.

the Vash from the 1998 series is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. so when he says at the end of this episode that "I don't have the right to cry", it genuinely hurt. you can tell Vash feels guilty - both because of the plant being taken (and his relation to the person who took it) as well as his roll in the tragedy/events they showed us in episode 1 of this new Stampede series. Knives also called Vash "lonely" this episode, and i don't think he's wrong i think last episode you guys were kind of surprised at how important/sought after the plant was. i'm not going to spoil anything, but look at the world they live in (a desert wasteland). if there's a plant that produces water, for example, that's supremely valuable
