Bright sunny sky and trains on the tracks makes a good day!

I spent Friday in Hamilton, Ohio on a beautiful, sunny day. It was a little on the chilly side, but the Sun made it all better.
‪@AdventureswithJoeyBoats‬ showed up around an hour after I got there, and we just hung out and waited for something to happen. It was a slow morning, but I still managed to get 5 trains altogether, including the local with the caboose!
We heard that they were working on a crossing North of town, and I suspect that was the reason for the slowness we were seeing.

If it’s gondola cars that are dented out, it’s from where they load them with a magnet. After they get mostly loaded, they drop the magnet multiple times to pack the shredded scrap to get as much weight as possible without being above the sides. Least that was what they did when they hauled by truck.

i see the street dept there is as go getting as the one up here that plastic has been wrapped around that guy wire for 3 or 4 weeks now!! and if the cops don't care people are going to ignore the signs and do what's easiest!!! that local could almost get a M prefix if was a few cars longer!! the skunk that took the curve had enough propane on it!! that is one thing i'll never understand they only ship propane by rail never by pipeline!! 141 had some of those new IM tanks on her first i've seen those!! i don't know if there's anything to it but i was told covered hoppers that are dented up were used to haul rock salt or sulfur that had clumped together and banged up the sides but the size of some of those dents and the filling port size i don;t see how!!
