I am cautiously optimistic. Until the game is available for play it’s impossible to say what kind of audience this game will attract. As a big fan of OSRS I’m down to give it a try at the very least!

The combat looks low quality (like mobile-game quality with that sliding animation idk), I'm not sure if I like the square tile aesthetic of the floor, and the OSRS-style of small pitch-black rendering for chunks seems like a weird design However, it looks like there's a lot of focus on well designed skilling, puzzle solving, and quests Looks like a niche game atm but I'll def try it out

Definitely a niche game. Focus on crafting and skilling. Likely not the most “modern” combat.

I have nerve damage in my shoulder cant play with gaming mouse bcuz it flairs it up but i can play on a phone all.day so i play osrs mobile...... will brighter shores have a mobile.option?

I promise it is not, it's actually very promising. OSRS is one of the most successful MMO's and still is to this day. Just might not be your cup of tea :D

As soon as you said classes im out. I want a modern game without class based combat, its one of the things ive always liked about runescape and why ive played for 20 years. Also looks more like a diablo or Baldur's gate Hopefully one day a new sandbox mmorpg comes out, i dont think this is it.

Just looks like rs3 but worse because its all locked behind a paywall. Osrs will be miles better than this game and this will fail.

@@muscadineman45pritchett82 every new update just kills the game more. 50% of the player base is bots. Pking is completely ruined. It's like pre eoc scape now but worse. My opinion tho. It's still successful game and I play it. But nowhere near as good as it was 5 years ago
