Those brightline trains closely resemble the late great ex British Rail H.S.T trains aka the I.C 125. Fast and ground breaking for passenger trains in the U.K The high speed deisel train Saved B.R from collapse. Their speed was a key selling point. On the East coast main line these trains cut the time from London kings cross to Edinburgh Waverly from 6 to 4 hours. The hst sets were deployed on the former great western routes out of london paddington to south Wales and penzance as well as to Bristol templemeads and to Plymouth. As well as the Midland main line put of st pancras to Sheffield nottingham and Leicester othet routes included were the cross country routes So the bright line trains have a future they look very much the part and hope they have a long and successful career. P.s check out any of the many clips featuring the HST trains. The class 43 power cars and its mk3 coaches. Good kick with your high speed rail project Cheers from new Zealand

It’s all quiet zones now, no more horns between Miami and West Palm Beach.
@SSantana8210 ай бұрын
@@rorynewton1228 quiet zones are literally the reason why people get killed and train tracks because they don’t even pay attention to when the train is coming. They just passed the gates regardless whether they are aware trains are coming

This vide nicely visualizes how backwards the US are with respect to train. In Europe, street running in cities was given up in early 1900s, when in ost cities tracks were put up on arches, with shops underneath!
@zackboone153 жыл бұрын
this is just a railroad crossing. Actual street running in the US is very rare.
@penskepc23742 жыл бұрын
Just a crossing doofus, the TGV literally has grade crossings and if it crashes it will turn to dust unlike an American certified train.

Their horns sounds like the Amtrak Siemens charger horn.

You knows those are Siemens Chargers right?

@@basedcaveman I haven't notice that, are they?
@mr.buddah60043 жыл бұрын
Orion yes they sound similar as they are the exact same as what Amtrak uses. The front of the locomotives have a different front facial design but Everything else is exactly the same as the Amtrak chargers.

isnt brightline west supposed to be at like 165mph?
@mr.buddah60043 жыл бұрын
Bright line west coast line is supposed to be electric, unlike Florida, if so it should be up to 165 mph, but if it's diesel then it will be limited to 125 mph.

Why are there white lights lit in the rear window?
@mr.buddah60043 жыл бұрын
Those white lights on the top of the locomotive are actually the lighted number boards. They're just so bright at night time that the camera could not make them out.
