This is the lift bridge found beside the lock gates at the Brighton Marina. It is protected by two twin-amber flashing wigwags, barriers and an audible alarm which has an added voice warning for the moving barriers.
The bridge lifts do not follow any timetable and it is raised as required for any vessels entering or leaving the inner harbour. On this occasion, the bridge raised and lock gates opened within a few minutes of arriving for several vessels.
